Eagles in the Pros

Thought it was interesting to see this article include Kupp, especially with all of the FBS talent out there going into this draft. It looks like the opinion of Kupp is pretty scattered out there, some seeing him as a second rounder, others low fourth to fifth. I'm sure the senior bowl and combine will play a part in what ultimately happens, but I will be excited to see how he and our other players do this coming draft, with Kupp obviously with a lot of potential to be one of the highest EWU draft picks ever.

dudeitsaid,
I did see that on the 11 pm News last night. He did state Coop could/would drafted the 2nd Round, placed behind Kearse, and Kearse will be gone sometime there after. Where he got the info from, I don't know. Maybe Jim Allen can find something, however, The Draft is not until April. Our FB Banquet is Jan 21st, unknown where, supposed to be either at Northern Quest, or Red Lion, Spokane. Hope everyone made it home safely after the New Year Parties, I stayed home and watch TV. Vic E. Wallace

Kupp has been generating buzz in scouting circles for the past couple of seasons. He's torched some quality Division-I corners (including Marcus Peters) throughout his career at Eastern Washington. He's a special player.

Loved seeing this. Regardless of which round he's drafted in Cooper will shine in the NFL. Hope it's a team that fits well. Seattle or Dallas would be great but any team will do.

I didn't look too far back in this thread but I just saw that Philly signed Aaron Neary to a reserve contract at center.

I could honestly see him going to the ...UUGGGHHH patriots....watching Edelman play Kupp and him have the same style/type and Bill loves those types of receivers.

I fearfully 100% agree that could be the perfect fit for Coop. On the bright side, I would much rather see him go to a place like NE where they know how to use him and watch him excel, than a dumpster fire with no QB to throw him the ball i.e. Browns, Jags, Jets, Bills, etc.

I would love for it to be the Seahawks, but I don't see them needing more WR's. Best fits in my opinion would be:

New England :(
Green Bay :x

Sleepers:
Miami :|
Detroit :|
Dallas  (although they have Beasley for that role)

Who knows...but I can't wait for April!

This article wasn't mixed considering the title was
Who's the safest NFL draft prospect you've studied?
and Kupp got mentioned. High praise. Other's may be vacillating. Their loss. Hoping Kupp gets healthy and has a good Senior Bowl week of practice. See others are trying to place him, probably Dallas, Raiders and Seahawks have taken the closest look since they have picked up Eastern players in the recent past, but who knows what NFL types think.

He was on their Practice squad for the entire season. Hopefully with a full offseason with the team he can compete for a roster spot next year.

Jake Rodgers signed a Futures deal with the Carolina Panthers also.

I love seeing former Eag players play locally! Had a blast watching the Shock with Isaiah Trufant, Erik Meyer, and others. Will be great to see another Eag in the arena!

A few non-NFL notes:

S Tevin McDonald was signed by the BC Lions in February.

CB TJ Lee was resigned by the BC Lions in the CFL shortly after their free agency period started.

CB Ryan Phillips was released by the BC Lions, and was immediately signed by the Montreal Alouettes.

QB Erik Meyer was signed by the Washington Valor of the Arena Football League. The Valor are an expansion team that will play their first season this year in Washington D.C.
