Eagles in the Pros

Roos is in the top ten best Titans draft pick of all time.

The New England Patriots are giving Aaron Neary and Clay DeBord a look for late round draft picks.

DeBord is getting a lot of looks. Which is surprising to me, because I thought Neary was the higher prospect.

I think Neary was getting more attention because he's a little more versatile player that could play Center or Guard. Probably a Center at the next level. I've always thought Debord had a better chance at getting drafted in a lower round.

Kaufman signs with Australian Football League.

Rjones61,
Honestly, I don't have much faith in the NFL Drafting System, I taught Brandon Kaufman would have gone very high in their draft, he ended going to the Bills as a Free Agent. The young WR here at EWU, learned a lot from him as a Team Player. For what it is worth, our Players started Practicing yesterday 4p.m. They will practice Tuesdays and Thursdays. Some numbers changes, Samuel Ebucam, DL will go from #91, to #4, Jonah Jordan, DL will go from #53 to #91. From personnel yesterday after practice yesterday. Vic Wallace

I've been seeing a lot of talk about Taiwan Jones falling off the roster this year. If he gets knocked off, looks like he had right above average career of an NFL runningback.

The arguments for him being dropped usually sound the same.

RB Taiwan Jones- When was the last time Jones stayed healthy for a whole season..yea.. this is McFadden 2.0, and now with the addition of Washington in the Draft Jones is quickly getting buried on the RB depth chart. Jones was never able to contribute much even when he was healthy. Besides one 59 TD catch that was pretty sick he promptly got hurt the following week. While we presume that DeAndre Washington will be RB No 2. behind Murray, we'd ALL love to see Marcel Reece get his hands on the ball more! Raider fans have wanted this for many years but it just doesn't ever seem like he gets it enough. Time to drop Taiwan and give Reece more field time.

Aaron Neary has been listed as the number two left guard for the Broncos!

Here's a quick NFL update after final cuts:

• Clay DeBord and Aaron Neary were cut by the Cardinals and Broncos, respectively. DeBord was signed to the New England Patriots practice squad and Neary was signed to the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad. Both these signings happened today.

• Jake Rodgers was waived/injured by the New York Giants due to an ankle injury he suffered against the Patriots in the last preseason game. He was signed to the Giants practice squad and then placed on injured reserve.

ewusigep252,
Thanks for this news, it is music to my ears. I knew I saw Jake in the Game against the Jets, and he looked very good, I also saw Aaron against my LA Rams, and he also looked very good. We lost that game I think it was 17-9, scoreless 2nd half. Again thank you very much for this great news. Vic Wallace

It's not professional football, but Demitrius Bronson has moved on to professional wrestling and has signed a developmental deal with WWE.

Nick Denbeigh, as a EWU Football he destroyed the bad guys...he's still destroying the bad guys!!

Vernon Adams threw for 106 yards for Montreal (6-11-0) before leaving the game with an injury at the start of the third quarter.

Tate started in relief of Bo Levi Mitchell, who got the day off with the Stamps having already clinched a first-round bye and home-field advantage in the West Division final

Didn't quite live up to the former EWU QB duel it could have been. Obviously hope Vernon is ok.

DIVISION FINAL WEEK

East Division

Edmonton at Ottawa

Sunday, 1 p.m. EST

TD Place

Story Lines

* THE ARM OF REILLY: Ticats linebacker Simoni Lawrence drilled Esks quarterback Mike Reilly's left (non-throwing) arm and knocked him out of Sunday's East semifinal. Reilly is vowing to play, and his shoulder will be something to watch if he is under centre.

* THE REMATCH: It's a unique non-Grey Cup rematch, because the Eskimos are invading the East Division playoff bracket via the crossover. Last November at Winnipeg's Investors Group Field the Esks defence frustrated Henry Burris and the Redblacks offence. Edmonton's defence isn't as good this year.

* HISTORY LESSONS: The Eskimos and Redblacks organizations don't like one another. The Esks wouldn't let the Redblacks' log cutters perform at the Grey Cup, and the Redblacks responded by asking for compensation when Edmonton hired Jason Maas away from the nation's capital.

Injured Starters

Edmonton: WR Nate Coehoorn, LT Tony Washington, CB John Ojo

Ottawa: LT SirVincent Rogers, WR Chris Williams, RB William Powell

Man Games Lost To Injury (regular season)

Season Series

Season Series Stars

Edmonton – Wide receiver Derel Walker had seven catches for 149 yards in the OT game, while linebacker J.C. Sherritt returned an interception 47 yards for a touchdown in the second match.
