Eagles in the Pros

Any of you keyboard kops, computer sleuths, digital detectives, know anything about Johnsons injury during the Hall of Fame game?

All I've been able to find is that the x-rays were negative and that he had an MRI when he got back to Dallas. Don't know how that turned out.

Kauf had a TD today, 2 catches and another called back by penalty.

TJ had 4 tackles, a decent kick return, and a pass break up the other day.

This was from a few days before the Bills first preseason game where he had two catches for 34 yards and a TD:
Tallest Bills WR making tough catches
- With seemingly eight receivers ahead of him on the depth chart at this point, undrafted rookie Brandon Kaufman hasn't made too many headlines throughout spring workouts and now 11 days of training camp. On Friday though, Kaufman made some tough catches that can only put him in a good light with the coaching staff. His highlight of the day was a toe-tapping grab along the right sideline that only his 6-foot-5 frame could get ahold of. The other impressive thing about Kaufman was that he was going all out for the passes thrown his direction. Even if he didn't have a shot at the ball, the wideout attempted to sprawl out for the catch just in hopes to make a big play. The odds are stacked against Kaufman of making the team at this point, but the practice squad is not out of the question.

Update on Matt Johnson

Today the Arena Football League named Shock quarterback Erik Meyer season MVP and Offensive Player of the Year.

Meyer led all AFL quarterbacks during the regular season with 112 touchdown passes. He passed a Shock single-season record for passing yards as Meyer finished the regular season with 4,667 yards in the air. That total ranked him third-highest among AFL signal callers during the regular season.

 :notworthy:

Just went up. Never wish for injury, but hopefully this means that Kaufman will get a chance on the roster, not just the practice squad.

Making matters worse, the Bills also announced that second-year wide receiver Kevin Elliott suffered a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the season.

Nick Edwards released from AZ. Kaufman survives in Buffalo, but WRs DaRick Rogers and DeMarco Sampson do not. I like Kauf's chances.

I read somewhere that there were 6 WR's ahead of BK on the depth chart at Buffalo and thought it was bullshit when I read it.

If he can at least make the practice squad I gotta think he's got a good shot of working his way up the depth chart. BK is gunna play somewhere.

EWURanger,
Thursday at practice I spoke with Buffalo Bills Scout, asked him what was BK possibility of making the Bills Team? He said he BK, is a hell of a WR, and if he doesn't make it, he should make the Scout Team, for what that means. I told him if BK doesn't make it, I will quit watching FB ;) ;) , You and everyone knows we all live for football. He loves what he sees there at EWU, couldn't believe how big Andre Pulu looks, and some of our other Players. SE thanks for the thread so we could hear BK on his radio interview with Buffalo Bills Broadcaster. Getting ready to go check out the practice at 3pm, then t o Northern Quest, 1st Coaches Meeting. Go Eagles!!!!! Vic Wallace

Kaufman only thrown to once so far I believe, and made a nice gain. About the only positive for the Bills as they're getting steamrolled 35-3 at half. Sideline reporter had a lot of good things to say about Kaufman after the catch. Also, WR Marquise Goodwin was injured in the first half, not sure how serious. Unfortunate for him, but good news for Kaufman's chances at making the 53.

EDIT: WR Chris Hogan (aka 7/11) just got his ankle tweaked.
