Eastern Washington @ Montana: GDT

Eastern needs to clean up the penalties. 11 against Fordham is way too many against a Big Sky team. Similarily we can not turn the ball over 5x. Could have been worse is we lost the ball every time in was on the ground.
I hope Gage learned from the TT film that when linebackers blitz that opens up the middle.
I don't think the Grizzlies can beat us but we CAN beat ourselves

Gubrud has made several poor decisions in each of the first 3 games. The only major difference in the Fordham game was that they (Fordham) didn't have the athletes to compete with us on the field of play. I hope we can clean up the turnovers but I'm not holding my breath. In regards to penalties, I think it's a coaching issue. We heard a lot about focusing on the fundamentals since last Spring but so far I haven't seen it.

I don't think it is remotely fair to point fingers at coaches at this time. You couldn't be put in a worse spot with two games against great teams to open the season. We lost two by big margins and now our two deep is patched together with duct tape because of it. Fordham was bad, but they weren't THAT bad... We made them look awful.

The truth is this week is our first big test. I don't think Montana is great, but they are a coherent team with good athletes. They walk into this game in better health and comfortable at home as this is their third game in Missoula. But they haven't played a team like us yet. We're not UW, obviously, but we sure aren't Valparaiso or Savannah State either.

Just watched a little of Cal/USC. I was shocked to learn that Beau isn't the full fledged OC.

Whaaaaaaat? What do you mean he isn't the OC? Was that not the job he was promised? I wish he never left :'(

Baldwin as Offensive Coordinator/Running Backs/Assistant Head Coach

Marques Tuiasosopo as Passing Game Coordinator/Quarterbacks/Recruiting Coordinator

Cal also has listed Erik Meyer on staff as ..Quality Control, Offense

Weird

weird that Beau is not coaching QBs.

Let's hope the Eags show up today and play a competitive game. Those first two games left a really bitter taste in mouth.

Hopefully the team learned some valuable lessons in those games. Tonight we just need to get a running game going, Gage needs to take care of the ball, and we need to limit their big plays. It should be a really close game but if we play to our abilities I think we'll come up on top.

I'm in a good place...GO EAGS!!!!
