EWU at Montana State

At the coaches show on Monday I was sitting at the same table as Jerry Ceja. When I mentioned the Bobcats taking Taiwan out in 2010 he said, Ya we have a lot of getting even to do.
Cats are in TROUBLE!!

Funny how players don't forget that stuff...I believe it was an Ab contusion or hip injury from that game that TJ sustained...the MSU/EWU games over the years have had some pretty ugly plays and they get pretty physical and 2010 was no exception...funny thing is, those are the types of games MSU typically doesnt play well in, hopefully we will be really physical on Saturday (and injury free on both sides).

  Really, you are aware that other than that 2010 season (which appears more like a historic fluke) EWU has won a grand total of 2 playoffs games in the last 10 years, Hmm that's the same amount as the Cats

Maybe hanna should stop spending time chasing fizz tools :thumb:

I'll take that historic fluke any day of the week....

You also realize in the last 9 times we have played the cats, you have won twice...might as well install red turf with all your new additions to the stadium, we'd prefer it that way...

Worst looking crap in all of football, by the way, isn't MSU the only team to beat you on the scary INFERNO? :thumb:

PSU also beat us that year, but MSU was the first to do it on the Red Turf...

Hey Vette, we were the first on the vaunted red crap, MSU moron, not the Griz.

Forget about the conference championship...the winner of tomorrows game is in the Drivers seat for a top 3 seed come playoff time.

The game tomorrow is going to be HUGE...can't wait!

I really think the Eags will have a fight on their hands but I dont think MSU is a better team than Eastern, I really dont. That said..... EWU by 14 :coffee:

Made it to Bozie. People here feel this is the biggest game EVER for the Bobcats. I don't know, that is a tall order but it will probably determine who get one of the top 4 seeds. But they did a top four seed two years age and we had to clean up their mess. Lots of hype.
20% chance of rain tomorrow 10-15 mile wind with gusts to 25. Who will be the most affected by that??

Both are pretty even run/pass, so I'd say both equally. MSU has a better run D (although against a DII, the 89th, 96th, 109th, 111th, and 115th rated rush offenses), but EWU is averaging more yards per game, and has the better OL.

Interesting note on the weather. I think we have the better kicker and punter. Field position will play a big part in this game I think.

MSU is a very good team that is definitely capable of beatin us. I don't think they are better. Despite what some of their folks might say, they haven't really played any quality competition with the non-scholly FCS and the DII and mostly lower-Tier Big Sky teams. I'm not saying our schedule has been the toughest, but I've gotta think strength if schedule will play a big part. Yes, they are 6-0 but realistically we will be the toughest opponent they've played by a large margin.

Exactly. If we had their schedule, we'd be 6-0 too, and without any close ones outside of maybe SFA.

I don't think either EWU or MSU have had the greatest of schedules. This game, to me, is the one that really spells out how good EWU is. Do we have what it takes to be a top contender or have we been fooling ourselves with sub average teams?

Then again, in 2010 we got spanked by MSU and still went off to take the championship.
