Defense looks like the same old weak link. Tackling sucks, run d sucks, susceptible to the big play.

Only difference is our offense isn't bailing them out this game. We are a second half team, but this is looking like quite an uphill battle.

The team looked good early but definitely started showing their youth as the half went along. We seem to lack the swagger that has been characteristic of EWU teams for years. I hope Coach Best can get these guys fired up to play EWU football the rest of this game.

we've had some decent runs today. even if we're only averaging 2-3 yards a run it's enough to keep them honest. i just don't like the predictable 1st and 2nd down runs.

Agree. This has been an ugly debut for Best. Team looks horribly under prepared.
