You're kind of changing your tune here but I'll deal with your last post. I do not know this for a fact just as you don't know either, what if Fordham said they would not come to Cheney under any circumstances and that was the only team that had an open date when we did? So the options are go to New York for a one off or have an open date, what would you prefer?LDopaPDX said:clawman said:How do you know there was any other option than Fordham??? Is an open date better? How do you know there was another option other than the South Dakota deal??? When you KNOW, I'll listen. The NCAA football schedules around the country do not revolve around EWU. If I were a player I'd much rather go to ground zero than Mead!!
So, how does a team like Fordham get Eastern Washington into their house for a one off? How does South Dakota get Eastern into their house for a one off? What are they doing that we aren't?
I have no problem with these games, but why not get a return date? It's not like either of those programs outdraw us or are higher profile than us. Our stadium certainly sucks, but 10,000 average attendance for regular season homes games is still better than a lot of FCS teams. Of course, that number could be better if we put some $$$ into the stadium, but that's a whole different conversation.
To clarify another point you said "10,000 average attendance for regular season homes games is still better than a lot of FCS teams", to be clear I said "that we have the lowest attendance of regular top ten teams in all of FCS".
Notice the difference?
