I only caught the second half of their game tonight when it seemed like it was getting really out of hand but So Dak St. looks like your typical Gateway-Missouri Valley team. Not a lot of flashy stuff just line up and smash it out you so ours boys better be ready to play some smashmouth football!

Regionalization hosed Rabbits/Eagles to be playing this early match-up. Eagles should really have the Fordham/SHU winner, and Rabbits/Lumberjacks should have been matched vs Montana or McNeese.

Truth. SDSU didn't get any favors last year, either, with having to play NDSU in their first game. It is what it is, I guess. :wall:

Especially when your "region" is the Louisiana Purchase...

Most of their fans seem pretty reasonable and well informed, but this one... not so much. Fitting name though... guy must be wasted.

Know thy opponent! Looks like all passing, pretty one dimentional.

Got a kick out of the TD pass where the guy knocks down the pylon flying through the air on the "out of bounds " side of it.Ref calls TD.Must be a rule, if the pylon goes down, must be a TD,even if it's knocked down from out of bounds I guess.I think they focus on the pylon, and ignore if the player is inbounds or out of bounds on the sideline. :D

 :dunce: :dunce: :dunce:

Are you just makin' that up? Too funny!!!

Nope, and boy am I glad. This guy is pure gold!

The goal line extends forever. As long as the body does not touch and the ball extends over that goal line it is a TD.
A football field has boudries, hence the term out of bounds.if the ball goes out of bounds, its a dead ball ,if it goes out of bounds then back in to hit the pylon, before the pylon is struck, the correct spot should be where the ball went out of the field of play,....play over, done. This is where the ref failed in my opinion. No different than say a fumbled live ball going out of bounds.Where the ball goes out of bounds, that should be the spot.

I tried to register over there...waiting on admin to verify.

On the other hand, that's probably what we need to eliminate all these damn spammers.

Wild tales being told over on the SDSU board. EWU is one dimensional. Yikes! EWU hasn't played a difficult defense or talented O line with a dominating run game either. Certainly can't stop the run. Should EWU even show up to play this game? Eag's better bring their lucky rabbit feet to have a chance.

I saw that too. One-dimensional teams don't run for over 2,000 yards during the regular season.

I talked with Rabbid, he said he'll have the mods keep a lookout and get them approved. As for the spammers, I thought the very same thing, and contacted Chris (again) to see about getting one of us added as Admin, or having new registers be approved by a moderator. Not sure if I'll get a reply.

I like how some of them think we play powderpuff football. Apparently they're going to smash us into submission. I'm reminded of what we did to the last team that crushed NAU. That team left Cheney with their tail between their legs.
I didn't see the game yesterday so I can't make any comments SDSU but anyone who runs for 250 deserves attention. I have no doubt our guys are planning a nice welcome party for him.
This will be a fun one. I can't wait. There is just something really special about playoff football. Go Eags!

this game is where we could really use Brown and Tevin McDonald being healthy. I see the need to stack the box against this team but is our secondary good enough in its current state to be isolated?

I think Brown at least played in the Portland State game so he should be ok for this game. I don't think McDonald is likely to play again this year.

If they are anything like the MVFC fans on AGS and CS, you'll have to understand they are REALLY thin skinned on account of someone in their conference has one back to back chippers. You must type really slow and repeat yourself a bunch at which point they'll either eventually go away or in the case of rkwittern on the NFC West thread, continue to provide entertainment.

The Mizz Valley is really only "great" because of North Dakota State. There are a lot of good teams in the conference (Northern Iowa, Youngstown, Southern Illinois, and, of course South Dakota State), but the only superpower in that conference at the moment is NDSU. When was the last time a Valley team made it to the semis other than NDSU? The last one I remember is Northern Iowa way back in 2005 (when we blew a 10-point 4th quarter lead to them in the first round).

Still, it is no doubt a power conference along with the Big Sky, Colonial, and Southland. No way you can add the SoCon into that realm any longer.

Here's some SDSU highlight videos from this season.

*Edit - Get ahold of the guy announcing the YSU game (bottom one). Wow, just wow.

Maybe it's because you don't know the difference between 'won' and 'one' so it's difficult to understand?

All jokes aside, this should be a good matchup. Two complete opposite teams.

:fuel: Burn

Can't wait for the game with SDSU. I feel as if SDSU is going to put up points and cause some finger biting, but I am confident in my team for this one. If you make the trip up here, I hope you enjoy your stay. Try Willow Springs Restaurant for a good burger and small business support.

Dammit!

i wouldnt be surprised to see us down in the first half and then have to make some adjustments. we are such a second half team this year. would be great to see our run of third qtr domination continue.

I expect it to be score for score in the first half. I don' t think SDSU has the defense to stop Eastern. However, I expect it to take some time for our defense to slow down SDSU.
