Game Day Thread EWU @ Darth Vader U (NDSU)

Not running any draws on those blitzes... all of a sudden the offense looks like they did against JSU when Eags were up big without any underneath passes (given Jones dropped the slant on the last drive) It could just be PTSD on my part.

We knew DVU wouldn't just go away. I am tired of watching holds on our defense. DL should just plug the middle and LB's should be back another yard or two to flow to the RB without letting the OL get a body on them. This is silly shit to watch happen again and again imo but not a surprise.

I said before the over / under on Bison punts was 3, and Eastern only managed 1 in the first half. It’s so damn hard to watch Eastern play defense because it’s so damn soft every game. If the other teams commits to playing physical football, the defense folds. Every. Goddamn. Time.

Right, we had a chance to put our foot on their throats early and didn't take advantage. As good as our offense is it's still unreasonable to expect them to score every drive. The defense absolutely has to do something to slow them down.

Those refs are swallowing their whistles in this game. There was one NDSU drive in particular where they held their entire way into the end zone.
 
mentioned earlier in thread, you can't just expect the offense to play perfectly to win this game. The D is just bad, even if we got some small miracle and won this game our defense is just not playoff quality.

We won't quit but it's hard to see us coming back from this one. The good news is we only have wait a few months for next season! :thumb:
