This should be a close contest. Statistically, both teams seem pretty close. No secret, but I think Portland is one of the dirtier programs around so always concerned for the players health whenever they meet. Watched a lot of the Idaho game last week and Portland played it close for the first half.

Excitement aside; Eagles can win this game. Really looking forward to a maturing run game and better situational use of the backs. Constrained as the offense is, a good run game makes the passing game a bit easier. I can't speak to the weird crap from the CP game but will call the win a "building block".

I’d be curious as to why he didn’t grade Eastern lower. There have been 5 losses, and four of those could be described as wipeouts. Neither of the two wins were impressive in the least. If Eastern can beat Portland State, UNC, and one of either Idaho or Montana, I’d say a C- might be on point. Otherwise, this has been an unfortunate season in every way.
 
I concur about those grades and EWU grade generous. .In the two wins margin of victory should have been much higher. I believe we have the quality players to be much better, we need to make sure we have the right pegs in the right slot. I don't recognize this team.

nice vid lucky...got me going. My initial thought was thinking we need someone to talk to ALL the coaches in a room telling them in a similar manner to get them to coach with spirit and fire. The players have heard the same "pep" talk in the same way. Be nice to try something new and tell them we are going back to "hair on fire" days and going for a td every play.
 
Wondering if Montana drops another one to Weber today... Suspect so.

Can Idaho take down Sac St? Honestly, I see this as nearly a coin flip. Sac has it at home....

Lastly, Eags at home. This should be a gimme but not loving the GT offense and Dopa's sold me the defense is pitiful (I don't think it should be but the evidence is overwhelming). Not sure they can play "up" today. At least there will be Tennessee v. UK and Georgia v. Florida to enjoy.
 
Leaving for game here in a few minutes. EWU favored by 10 over/under is 65.....Weber favored by 3.5 and 45 is the over/under,,,,,Sac St favored by 9 and 65 o/u
Hmmmmm,, I'm not betting today those lines about right except i wont bet against EWU...lol
Will be hoarse at end of this day...I'm pretty pissed.

While I expect Eastern to win today, a 10 point line seems extreme. We haven’t beaten anyone by more than a TD, and neither Tennessee State nor Cal Poly is better than Portland State. This feels like a line based on name recognition and past performance more than anything that has happened this season.

I’m honestly not sure what to expect from this game. PSU seems pretty terrible, but it’s be a hard argument to make that we’re much better. We should be 3-4 right now…that MSU loss hurt.

Rewatch that play and take a look a Keyshaun King. He just ignores the QB and let’s him run right past him. Just terrible effort from the D. 6 out of 8 games we’ve given up a score on the first drive. Do our defensive coaches watch any film?
 
Stack the fucking box and stop the run. Play man on the outside, and if we get beat, so be it. But don’t let them gash us over and over on the ground.
 
After last week, our defense statistically improved from dead-last in the FCS to second-to-dead-last in total defense. Eastern’s defensive coaches—- “hold my beer”
 
I guess nobody should be surprised with this outcome but it’s incredibly hard to watch how poor this team is. This is on the coaching staff. We didn’t all of a sudden forget how to recruit good players. This is a playoff caliber program every year and this coaching staff has let the wheels completely fall off.
