Idaho State

Geesh Olds...why don't you ask the Democrats..they seem to be ready to buy any and every vote they can (with other peoples money)....

Maybe you and I Olds should switch home states....you would be happy out here in lib land (until you see your state tax bill) and I may find some sanity in Utah....

I think it's Trump who is planning to build the wall with other people's money. Of course, he WAS a Democrat for most of his life. -:)

ISU announced today they will be playing 7 of their last 9 games at Reed. This week's games vs EWU and Idaho and the last series of the season vs the Montana schools will be moved to Reed. Which is all good by me, Reed is a much better atmosphere.

Yeah...you are correct...just not American tax payers money....still not buying votes with YOUR money like every Dem does....19 trillion and counting....election is over, get over it, just as I had to for the last 8 years....

I think it is the right move for ISU. The floor is nice at Holt. They should move it to Reed. It wouldn't take much to do that, it's a sectional floor. It looks nice and it has good spring for most jumpers. Geno wasn't able to get up, but that is just him.

Didn't realize that I would get such a response to a sarcastic answer to your question Sac. The real answer is that schools pay for their own travel. There is no sharing there. I'm sure there would have been a lot of griping if it had been a team from a long way off. That has probably played into ISU's decision to make the move to Reed. If it were to happen again it could be a bigger issue. :coffee:

You wanna bet who winds up paying for that wall?

Bengal...don't get sucked down the idiot hole that is Sacstateman.

At the end of the day though, I get it. ISU had an unfortunate event occur. An issue that has only occurred once before in the history of the LOLT. It is what it is. But budgets are tight and this does cause some grief for the away team. One issue, who pays for the refs.

I'm simple. Why don't they play all of their games on Reed. I have never visited Reed, but I have been to Holt. It is a good football venue, but it is a strange place for basketball.

The host team always pays for the officials. They are paid prior to the game, not after. It may well cost ISU as much for the officials as it will for our travel. Actually, if you are looking at the total expense for hosting a game at ISU, I'm sure that it will exceed our costs for travel. Given that their budget constraints are likely tighter than ours, I would say that this is hurting them more than us.

On the positive side, for us, our guys will be returning with no fear of the mighty Bengals. :coffee:

.@WeberStateMBB and @ISUBengals will resume play on Jan. 25 at 7 p.m. The game will resume with 15:02 left in the first half and WSU up 13-2
In REED Gym, Not Leaky Ol Holt
Does anyone know why the Ogden game was scheduled on a Friday in th first place?

Man, that sucks for you guys. Thank goodness that it is a relatively short haul to Pokey for you. But still... Can you imagine if that had been PSU or Sac. I wonder if ISU would have had to cover the additional travel expenses.

I don't have the answer for you. However, these things are usually due to TV or facilities. Neither team has a game scheduled for early the next week and both teams are at home the following week. My SWAG would be TV, but I don't have the Dee Center's schedule.

Last time, we probably had 60 or 70 Wildcat fans there. I'm hoping that another couple hundred make the trip this time. It's not really that far. Even if it snows, they keep the plows going on the freeway. It's a great, short road trip for students and all fans. What else do you have going on a Wednesday night. :coffee:

I hope WSU fans travel up there. It sounds fun.

I've gone to Bengalville many times. For the most part, I've enjoyed the trip. There have been some interesting experiences, but for the most part it isn't too bad. I've watched games in the lolt and reed and both aren't too bad. The reed reminds me of playing in my local high school gym, but if that is all they've got, so be it. As for traveling this week...regrettably, it just isn't in the cards for 2017. I have a prior engagement and won't be making the trip. Hopefully, I'll be able to watch some of the game. How much time is left in the first half? 15 or 12min?
