Injury Bug

What I should have wrote is why haven't I been hearing his name is he playing is he hurt what's the deal?

We went out to greet our Players back to EWU. All three Buses returned to EWU about 11:48p.m, they left Bozeman approximately 3:48 p.m. All seemed very happy, what else could we expect? . I also saw Montana defeated by Northern Arizona. Welcome Back Eagles!!!! Vic Wallace

From the release "The injury to Kupp was only the tip of the injury iceberg for the Eagles. Senior linebacker Miquiyah Zamora (hamstring) missed most of the game, and EWU was already playing without a trio of injured starters – guard Matt Meyer (concussion), running back Jabari Wilson (hip/rib contusion) and rover J.J. Njoku (knee)."
This week of is great for us. Get healthy guys!

Zamora came out and played like two plays and just walked off the field. I didn't even see a trainer with him.

I didn't hear anything on Kupp other than seeing him in a sling. Did he just aggravate that shoulder injury?

Yes. Root Sports claimed AC Joint Sprain.

My guess he's 3-4 weeks out. "Probably" won't need him in first playoff game. Get him ready for the quarters.

Guess we can remove his facemask and let him catch it with his teeth. Everyone should be focused on healing up.

3-4 weeks? He was only out 2 weeks when he had a similar injury on his other shoulder.

All of these additional injuries couldn't have come at a worse time. We're now down to just two LB's that were in the two-deep to begin the year with and without our top two options at rover. The offensive line has also been a mess for the past several weeks. Hopefully two weeks is enough to get some of these guys back in the game!

To the best of my knowledge, no one new has a critical injury. I'd think just about everyone will be back in two weeks. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

There have been a few season ending injuries (maybe 4 or 5?) but I don't know what the extent of the injuries to Kupp, Zamora, and Sommer are. It looked like Sommer aggravated the knee injury he had at the beginning of the year.

My guess is the below guys will be questionable in a couple of weeks:

Wilson - Ribs
C. Kupp - Shoulder
Njoku - Knee
Sommer - Knee
Meyer - Concussion
Calhoun - Hamstring
Dyer - ?
Hunter - ?

The below guys are out for the season as far as I know.

Karstetter - Achilles
Webster - Collarbone
Jones - Knee
Foerstel - Knee
Baumann - Foot

It would seem that even if guys that have not played for several weeks become ready to play before the playoffs they are not really in "game shape" so how effective could they be?

Four seniors could make a difference:
Wilson - Ribs
C. Kupp - Shoulder
Njoku - Knee
Sommer - Knee

Agreed, if you noticed I said "have not played forseveral weeks". Wilson and Kupp WOULD make a difference.

Per Jim Allen on twitter:

Baldwin said he expects Kupp (shoulder injury) to play on Dec. 3. "Cooper's a tough kid," Baldwin said after the TV shot. @EWUFootball
