Injury Bug

At one point he came off kind of wobbly, then I noticed they were going through concussion protocol, and I did not see him on the field again.

I believe it was a dislocated kneecap.

Well damnit. Add another one to the list. Our backup center and Qb's really need to work on the center exchanges. The high snaps and false starts once the backup came in are no good.

I just don't think there is a very big pool of weak FCS teams to choose from. It's not like you see the SWAC playing out here. The MEAC, NEC, Pioneer, etc seem to fill their schedules and don't have a need. ACU would have been nice but they can fly into Denver and have more of a shot to pick up wins against UNC

This. Travel $ is a big factor when considering these things.

Honestly, if it comes down to playing a D2 rather than a lower FCS because the cost is too much...I'd rather play a SECOND money game against a mid level FBS team. You don't want to play Oregon and Florida in the same year...but why not a team like Air Force, etc?

In that case, your 3rd game HAS to be FCS and at home which eliminates h and h return years. Or you end up with only 4 home games. No thanks. Think is still prefer a D2

Pretty sure the high snaps were all before the starter left the game.

I agree with you on the high snaps FormerEag, but both the starter and his replacement when he left injured are inexperienced at the position.. We used up all of Jace Butorac's eligibility, so center, as well as all the O line will be a work in progress.

whats the deal with Keenan Williams? Vic mentioned he was on crutches prior to the NAU game but I don't remember him going down at all against ndsu. Practice injury?

I heard Kupp will travel with the team but not suit up.

Interesting...he's been practicing this week

It seems sort of silly to use a travel spot for someone who wouldn't play.

I think getting our best players on the field will be the difference in this game. This is a game we should win, but NAU is good enough to beat us if we don't get our best guys into the game.

This sucks. Any idea how much long he's going to be back? I was hoping he'd only miss a couple of games.

If he misses this game, then I'd say he has something more serious than a grade 1 separation of the shoulder. That's not a serious injury.

I still would think if he travels, he plays. The team only has 56 travel spots, so it wouldn't be likely for them to bring someone in one of those slots who isn't going to play.

Do we have this week's depth chart?

What injuries still remain? I want the linebackers back! Not to mention an award winning wide receiver.

The coaching staff has been hush hush on injuries the last couple of years. It seems they see an advantage in keeping injuries a mystery until kickoff.

No idea at all. All I heard is that he'd be traveling with the team this weekend but would not be playing.
