It's official: Kaufman and Padron to draft

EWURanger,
Saw our Players pumping those weights yesterday, they haven't lost a step. Coaches are out of town in Conferences, possible UTAH. Kauf and Padron are gone, according to some Players. Wish both of them "ALL THE LUCK IN THE WORLD" :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: Stay healthy, and show those Scouts what a small University Players are capable of doing    . Good Luck Men, we are proud of what you have accomplished while here at EWU. We saw "GREATNESS ON THE FIELD/CLASSROOMS :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:   . We will miss seeing you on the RED TURF. Vic Wallace

Another year of split time or as a back up at the FCS level was not going to improve Padron's stock and this year is supposed to be a weak QB class.

And yes Vic, hats off to all the seniors and those three wide receivers. They've had an amazing run.!!

Best of luck to Kaufman along with Herd and Edwards. One of the best trios of receivers I have ever seen and I am very grateful for what they have done for the program.
Best of luck to Padron as well.

I think the gun was jumped on this being official. Let's be honest, if this is "official" and you have to look this hard for any news on the subject, then that might tell you a little about your draft stock. No legitimate news agency is reporting this yet... not saying it won't happen, but even in the 1/9 press releases on Sportsnetwork, there was no information.

I don't know who is representing these guys, but I sure as hell hope it isn't who I think it might be... There is a pimp of an agent known for telling lies to NW players that make this sort of move. Hope they aren't hearing from him.

Best of luck to these guys, they gave EWU some great memories.

- Kaufman, wish he would have stayed, but I had no doubt he was going pro. There is nothing more for him to prove by staying a season. He either has it or he doesn't, another year in the FCS isn't going to change that. Scouts at his pro day and the combine (if he gets an invite) will find out what they need to know, rather than watching his FCS highlight tapes. He was a superstar for EWU these last few years and was a HUGE part of why we are where we are today. He will be missed!

- Padron, I think him leaving is more of a I don't want to split time or be a FCS backup type of thing. He is talented, I just don't think he will get drafted. Better to take your chances in the NFL I guess, than split time or sit behind Vernon. He sounds like a great guy and I hope it works out for him.

- The good news is that Adams has now been given the keys to the car. We don't have any questions who will be our starter next year. Super pumped to see him play 100% of the time next year!

- Also, having players leave early for the NFL isn't always a bad thing. Its a great recruiting tool...

Yep! The Sky is not falling, coaches are out recruiting our next group of All-Americans, and I can't wait to see what our young guys can do next season.

Totally agree...whatever happened to Aaron Boyce's brother? I thought we signed him in 2011 but I haven't seen his name anywhere this year.

The good news about losing Kaufman is that, without his reliably bailing the offense out with some crazy catch, it will require getting some balance with the run game. How exciting would it be to start seeing 100 yard rushers every game?

That is how it used to be with EWU we were pretty much ground chuck when I was going to school.
