Lamar @ UNC Thread

The speed of the game is just too damn fast for the backup QB. If we don't get Dylan back, we are going to get throttled in Conference games.

Big shout out to the defense. They were the only reason we were in it for so long.

Conner didn’t have a ton of help from his receivers. Delecroix drops an easy pass on third down that would have extended the drive late in the game and then there are the idiot penalties on offense. Defense played great but didn’t step up when it mattered most. This is a bad loss, really bad.

Also , Conner had no help from the offensive line. He was under pressure the entire game . 4 sacks. It was sad to see 5 linemen standing around wondering what happened. I heard a lot of starters were out with Covid . No excuse. Go Bears

The biggest takeaway from the Lamar game is that things really haven't changed at UNC, at least at thus far. Collins and CO were better coaches, but didn't bring in the talent, now coach Ed has put together a good high school coaching staff, but a horrible and inexperienced Division 1 staff, but has brought in better players. It's the same song and dance just different actors. We had PLENTY of close games under Collins, but had self-inflicting penalties that killed us. I mean it seemed like every game was like that under him. Now, it's the same under coach Ed. I'm still hopeful for a decent season, and I'm hopeful for the NAU game, but the rest of the schedule is brutal.
