Auburn will not make it to a bowl game this year; even though 75% of all FBS teams go bowling. This Auburn team only shares one thing with last season's BCS Champ; the name on their jerseys. Auburn looked sluggish, confused, and inexperienced. With that being stated, I'll admit it, USU looked good last week against a supposedly far superior team (SEC). They moved the ball well, controlled the clock, and were able to limit Auburns offense. What does that tell us? Not a whole lot. However, if USU can't have a winning season and go bowling this year, with the absolute joke of a schedule they have, wow...there should be no hope for Aggie football.

Weber may be an Division I FCS team, but at least we can say we've had 10 win seasons and winning seasons in the past 30+ years.

Big Bad USU's last 2 games against Powerhouse Wyoming

2006- USU 7, Wyo 38
2007- USU 18, Wyo 32

Small little FCS Weber's last 2 games vs Powerhouse Wyoming

2009- WSU 22, Wyo 29
2011- WSU 32, Wyo 35

Wow man, you had a good point...until I looked at the years. How do those compare, really? That's like saying I banged Betty White in 1959 and you bragging about banging her twice, but in 2009. Or like saying our close call with Auburn this year make us as good as Alabama because they lost by a similar margin last season. :dunce:

We'll see about that. Even the worst SEC teams are better than bottom MWC teams.

Are you seriously bragging about 10 win season/winning seasons in the FCS? Yeah, we beat Big Sky teams too, they usually make up most of USU's wins, and isn't USU like 10-1 vs. Weber all time?

:willybs: :willybs: :willybs: :willybs: :willybs:

10 win seasons and winning seasons(WSU) are better than ZERO winning seasons (USU) period.

Dont worry, USU's time to shine is soon approaching, all the GOOD WAC teams are leaving for the Mtn West or have already left that will make it easier for USU to get more than 3 wins in conference.

You guys are doing the exact same thing, You keep comparing this years Auburn team to last years, they dont compare, Auburn will NOT be the national champs this year.

Also I dont think the years matter, cause USU's results are always the same. :coffee:

Well I guess that's why I always see FCS games on tv and ESPN, etc. Because the 10 win seasons mean a lot...wait.

I didn't compare them once. I just said they were the defending national champs. And a lot better than Wyoming. :shocking:

This is why WSU and USU should be in the same conference. It would be epic.

i like that we have suu for football soon but usu...that would be fun in both sports.

SUU becomes a full member, not just a football member, and Weber and USU wont be in the same conf anytime soon, USU doesnt want Weber in the WAC with them, just like UTah and BYU didnt want USU in the Mtn West with them.

True, but it would still be sweet for both schools.

this coming from a fanbase who had threads dedicated to emailing the Lds church over Jumbgate..
Jumbogate was awesome..
Aggies= Most classless hypocritical fanbase in the country
What the heck is Jumbogate?

my understanding of Jumbogate:

Most Aggie lds faithful left the church after a byu student left a l0 second message on their jumbotron after the Aggies lost in the Marriott Center, it read something like "Enjoy the loss Aggies, Love your Big Brother BYU". Most dissenting church members started their own sect involving Warren Jeffs, cheese (fermunda), and Wranglers.
Ah, yes. Now I remember. Though I don't remember any threads about emailing the Church about it. If there were Aggies B&M'ing about that I probably told them to get over it, too.

here is your 6 page thread of classless Aggies in their own right, b!tching & moaning silly about that stupid little jumbotron message. Absolutely hillarious

I dont care who you are thats funny right there

Well, I see someone emailed BYU about it. I don't see anyone emailing the LDS Church or leaving the Church, for that matter. I do see a few folks going on about it longer than I cared to. I tend to get to the point that I stop visiting threads like that, so I guess it didn't stick in my head as much as yours.

Again, making sweeping generalizations about fanbases and exaggerating or utterly skewing the facts is just lame.

And by the way, I never said anyone was classless.

Hanging your hat on a loss, regardless of how close the game was or who the opponent was, shows the pathetic state your football program has been in over the past three decades. I've never seen so much excitement over a loss. And I sure hope the team takes Weber as lightly as their fans are.

With all due respect, Weber's fanbase seems pretty high on a few close losses to some FBS teams...most recently last weekend's loss to Wyoming.

I didn't watch the Wyoming game, but based on the score and how they look on paper I expect Weber to be pretty good this year.

Good luck to you after this weekend.

The one thing Weber and Aggies fans have in common is the fact that both teams getting pretty excited over close loses to FBS teams. Biggest difference...Weber goes on, in their division, and ends up with a winning season, while USU doesn't. I guess 30 years of impotence is acceptable in Logan. I guess you almost got it up last week Aggies. Maybe a little Viagra will help ya get over the hump.

On a side note, for the ignorant fans from hickville, your hopes for saving the WAC hing on Big Sky, and the far worse, Southland conferences. Kinda sad that only FCS teams will join, even sadder knowing that some of those teams are going to take you behind the woodshed and beat the living shit out of you. What's even worse, is the fact that those teams will move on to bigger and better things before the Aggies. NEVADA, BOISE STATE...just to name a couple examples.

Not this fan. A loss is a loss. No moral victories.

This thread is freaking hilarious!! There's a lot of dick measuring going on.

Let's all be serious, within 5 years Weber and State will probably be in the same division once the super conferences are done aligning. That's when things will get really exciting for these two schools. Natural rivals IMO.
