I was mentioning it to my brother during the game, how we can play the two FBS schools relatively penalty free, then get in to conference play and get penalized to death. I think it is time to play the kids and get ready for next year. So much talk about playing for the seniors this year and not sacrificing this year because of them, but the unsportsmanlike penalties by the seniors (Tyshon Moseley, Chris Seisay, Darnell Adams this game, Beau Doronslet the last game), show that they would rather fight someone instead of play the game. Bring Eason back to quarterback, move Kraight back to receiver and get ready for next year. We still have Montana State, NAU and Lillard U (Weber) on the horizon and at this point, even Idaho State is not looking like the usual cakewalk. Get the youngsters some game experience and get ready for next year.
As for the game, I did see some improvement from the Davis game. Montana is still a dangerous team and we stayed within striking distance for most of the game. Just too much penalties at the times we could least afford them and too many interceptions. Dawson's TD kickoff return was beautiful and there were other great plays made by the good guys. But, we are 0-4 with still too many questions and I said at the beginning of the year, if we still have questions by the Montana State game, it will be a long year. Well, we do and it is.
That all said, I find out I have to be in Montana this weekend (Helena). I'm going to see if I can score myself a ticket this weekend from one of my Cat friends. See you in Bozeman. :thumb:
