What is the tiebreaker!

There is another thread for this, but everettgrizz gave us this:

1. Head to head
2. Games (W, L) vs. other league teams, starting from top to bottom
3. RPI
4. Coin flip.

This game is over but I don't think Montana is a better team then UNC. I think the tournament will show that!
I agree, and I'll say it again. We're missing Osbourn and it's showing. When we're struggling to shoot from the perimeter it's crucial we have inside scoring. Emmanuel Addo isn't there...yet. Conner was the key to this season.

Connor was redshirting this year regardless of injuries. We wouldn't have had him under any circumstances.

The officiating was bad but that is expected for the Big Sky. The Bears didn't play well enough to win. At least in the 1st half.

Where did you get that info? From pre-season Trib articles, Hill was counting on him.

So what does that look like between these two teams.

Split head to head, against other teams, Montana has lost to the same teams as UNC. UNC has to take care of business the rest of the way, and hope Montana stumbles down the line. Other wise it will come down to RPI, which Montana has a better RPI than UNC. Montana has to take care of business the rest of the way as well. The other thing is, I think Montana last few conference games are on the road. UNC's last 3 conference, two of which, are at home.

I know some folks around the program that probably wouldn't want me mentioning their names here.

If we are going to lose I'm happy it was an embarrassment. This will just ignite us into the tournament. Good teams don't like to be embarrassed.

This loss doesn't mean much, it sure would've helped though. As long as we shake this one off, and take care of business we'll be alright. We have a couple non-conference games coming up to get all of the kinks out and prepare us for the home finish.

We couldn't anything to go down. It started in the first 5 mins we were driving to the hoop getting hacked and not getting a call. Mentally it's tough to know that your going to drive to the basket, get hammered and get nothing to show for it. I think if we got a couple calls early in the game the momentum would have stayed a little more even, not all the way to Montana's side. The road to the dance just got a lot tougher. This team has the talent to be a champion but sometimes that doesn't matter.

This loss meant everything. It was the difference between hosting the tournament and having a decent shot to win it or going to Missoula and having a very slim chance to win it.*

*This scenario subject to change if Montana loses a game somewhere.

when we're struggling as much as we were offensively, it would seem addo and unruh might merit a few more minutes in the second half. addo played a couple and unruh never left the bench.

And the fact that we might have just lost the automatic bid to the NIT.

One last thing thing. Prior to me writing this I just wanna say that I know these kids play for pride so it's not cool to badmouth them. BUT Is it just me or does Senior Chris Kaba still act like an 8th grader on the basketball court????

He got t'd up tonight and as a senior he has very little composure,

Holy crap Beitzel is a great player. I won't miss him next year.

BQ is also a great player. I'd love to have him back next year.

The difference tonight was Selvig. He played leaps and bounds better than he did in Greeley, and it made all the difference. It was nice seeing Cherry on the floor, but he clearly wasn't anywhere near 100%.

The difference tonight was the guys in blue jerseys not named Beitzel shooting 6-43 from the floor. If you stuck those guys on the deck of a cruise ship at sea, they couldn't have shot the ball into water.
