Montana vs EWU

These teams look way more evenly matched than the last time they played. Montana is not going to lay down, but the Eags can take this

Well we were favored for a reason...we are the better team. So, Hayford needs to earn his check and do what's needed to get this win in front of the full house with the BSC crown on the line.

Good to go into the half on a bit of a run. Drew Brandon is leaving every last bit on the court... too bad Felix got called for the charge there or we could be looking at a 1 pt deficit instead of 3

Montana is shooting lights out so far. That has to change.

Defense needs to wake up...quickly.
That, and we need to attack the glass better, both in shot attempts and offensive rebounds. I think we've only had one offensive board all game. Also like Jim said, getting inside more is going to open up those looks for Harvey. 1-5 so far for him beyond the arc. :ohno:

Great game. Really fun to watch.

But prior to the game, the Montana coaching staff was told by Eastern staff to "have his team exit through the doors behind the bench when the fans storm the court". WOW, talk about classless. Instead, Montana got to stand at their bench and watch the Trail of Tears.

See you in Missoula!

Was probably more like 'if'. Just trying to protect your players. Not classless. Good game by both teams. Crowd was great. You got some work to do if you wanna host in Missoula. I didn't expect anything less than a great game today. See ya in Cheney!! :D

I know hindsight is 20/20, but I wish the last play would have been to get it to Brandon or Harvey for a drive to the hole. We had 6.9 seconds and I think a drive to the hole creates more opportunities to score, either make the shot or potentially get fouled and go to the line. We were only down by one so they would have had to aggressively defend it. The play to set up Kelly was still a good play, just not in the cards.

Regardless, was a good game. On to ISU, Go PSU tonight.

Hmm, I'm not certain you should be rooting for PSU. You want Sac to finish in front of NAU, otherwise you lose the tie break to Montana.

NAU will lose tonight to Northern Colorado, Clark.

Perhaps. But I wouldn't want to hang my hat on that.

Today Montana recognized that they need to stop Venky to win. By collapsing on him every time he got the ball they shut down the Eagles offense. Venky had 5 of our 8 turnovers. Expect to see more of this going forward. Yes we need to shoot better than 60% FT if we expect to win, but the Griz had a better game plan an/or executed theirs better.
