NAU @ EWU: Official GDT

I'm curious to get other's comments here on how JW is progressing compared to previous EWU QBs,

IMHO seems like to he doesn't go through his progressions consistently and focuses on one or two WRs on most plays.

Keep in mind this is his first full year as the starter. Seemed like VA and BLM were a little farther along after 11-12 starts but maybe not.

GO EAGS

West is just fine IMO.

Adams was very up and down in 2012, he was evened pulled in one of our last games against PSU. Didn't start any of the playoff games that year.

BLM was a gunslinger. He had great moments and he had some pick 6's, but come playoff time, he was the man. Heck, BLM threw pick 6's in back to back playoff games in 2010, but he still led us to the chipper.

First year starters are going to have their ups and downs. Tough to get on West, he has played two games in horrendous weather conditions to throw the ball and hasn't really had a terrible game besides that. We are just fine with JW at QB...

:+1:

This board has not been fair to Jordan West and to the coaching staff. Not trusting the coaching staff, who have developed fantastic quarterbacks year in and year out, to choose and develop the quarterback that best fits this team isn't right. Not giving Jordan credit for his accomplishments and not taking weather into account also aren't fair.

As of here and now, Jordan West is the best quarterback on the Eastern Washington football team. Period.

My question was wasn't whether JW should be benched it was is he developing at a proper pace.

My apologies, I was not singling you out and was talking about the board in general. Your question was legitimate.

My curiosity would not be specific to Jordan but QB development in general. How much does a kid develop in practice vs game time? If Jordan were to be injured how prepared could one of the backups be if they never get on the field except in practice? All of these close games take away the possibility of Reilly or Gage getting any time in actual games so will either be ready if called on?

I really have no idea what's wrong with the offense, but it'd be great to shake this funk we're in on that side of the ball.

west looks at kupp on every pass play. its not hard to figure out.
