NAU @ EWU: Official GDT

Win some, lose some. This team is still basically consistent with how most people thought it would be going into the season. 8-4 is still achievable.

I'm hoping that getting punched in the mouth and then stomped on helps reset the focus. Gotta hope they can win out and get an SUU loss.

they finally put Hennessey in and bingo we score a TD. Why in the hell did the coaches wait until the damn game was out of hand before they made the change??? Severely PISSED OFF!!!

Interesting. NAU still throwing the ball with the game well out of hand. :ohno:

Always tough to take a loss, especially like this. But there's still plenty of season left to play for. This might be a slightly different offense with Hennessey, but I think we'll have to see how that plays out.

One thing I do know is that both remaining games are winnable.

i think the offense looks visibly different with hennessey at the helm, but yes I also understand west has far more experience. and for the record, I'm not hating on West. I think he's done a fine job and deserves a lot of recognition. but as much as he's been struggling it's just frustrating to watch your backup stand on the sidelines and not get a chance until a game is well out of hand.

QUARTERBACK CONTROVERSY!!!!

It sure does seem that way. I still have faith in Jordan but it does seem like he needs to improve certain aspects of his game.

Jordan needs to make sure other players hold on to the ball or ask the coaches for a better game plan or expect his receivers to create space and hold on to balls or etc... :ohno:

Anyone else questioning the play calling, focus, sideline demeanor or myriad of other things that this team could be doing differently? To keep it simple, there is no phase of the game that is being executed well at this point. "Hope" is not a strategy, but since I have ZERO impact on these outcomes, will HOPE this is a wake up call. Go Eags.

Yep, but i hate to beat on a dead horse, but the defensive coaching has been questionable all year. Question, did anyone else wonder why in the hell we only had 3 down lineman inside the 5 yard line , at least on three occasions. You don't have to ride on the short bus. To understand how stupid that is :ohno:

I've said it before, this defensive coaching and strategies are not at D1 level - period.

In the off season, It's time to hire a DC from the outside, that knows how to coach a defensive. You all can say what you want about coach b, won't do it. I say if he doesn't, then he stands to loose credibility in the ability of coaching a complete team. Now he may wait 1 one more year, but it's a huge green elephant in the room
