Great idea, just needs some fine tuning. The fact that EWU has a second helmet is a good thing.

Again, great job Willie! :thumb:

Yep, WAY better. Still would love to see a white helmet with a gray or black eagle. Might be cool for the Portland State game....
It only looks gray because of the flash from the camera. I assure those would be solid black. Any time you make something "matte" or "flat", you're draining color from it. And since black isn't even a color, when you take something from it, it will obviously look different.ewunerd said:That photoshopped helmet looks pretty sweet. But!
- How would it look in full uniform. Grey helmets on our black unis... I'm just not sure about that...
- The EWU logo does look pretty sweet up close like that, but I do question how it would read at a distance on moving objects (aka people). But Oregon has shown readability be damned with silver lettering on white jerseys for their player names...
If I remember correctly our new black unis have a rather matte looking finish so I do think the black helmet (with a matte decal) is the best option. I do a similar style (just darker red facemask) in my NCAA team builder every year and the end result is quite fantastic.
