Maine lost, so they are out of the top 5 seeds...that moves SELA in with their win...who is left? Griz with a win, Costal Carolina should get a top 8 with a win. NAU maybe a top 8 with a win? I still can't figure out the top 10 teams, it really seems to be a top 4 conference.

NDSU, EIU/EWU, SELA

Coastal Carolina getting spanked, 56-7. They are playing the #12 FBS though.

ESPNU 8:30 pst 11:30 est tomorrow. Go Eags.

Weird day in the FCS. Towson held on in the CAA, but Maine got creamed, Delaware lost, William and Mary lost. MVC Youngstown lost to S. Dakota St in a snowbowl. SHSU got shellacked today too.

Seeds:
NDSU
EIU
EWU or SELA
SELA or EWU
next four likelys
McNeese
Maine
NAU
UM
Towson
Samford

Don't envy the committee on the final selections.

As I Argued before, 24 teams is too many. There are going to be at least 3-4 wholly undeserving teams making it in. Shit, a Lafayette team with 5 wins and a Patriot League auto-bid is bad enough of a stain.

I think Eastern will eke out a 3-seed. Any chance of a 2-seed disappeared with the closeness of the game today. The fact Eastern has wins over Oregon State and Montana (who might be ranked #4 when the latest poll comes out) probably keeps us above SE Louie.

:+1:

I think we'll get the #3 seed, but mostly because our win against Oregon State will just barely push us over SELA.

If I had to seed it:

NDSU
EWU
EIU
SELA
Towson
McNeese
Maine
NAU

But I agree that the committee will seed EIU #2

I might put NAU ahead of Maine after yesterday's beatdown courtesy of UNH.

You could certainly make that case as Maine's quality wins in conference have slid a bit with Delaware, Nova, and W&M finishing poorly. Suddenly, their best win is probably still a terrible UMASS. Montana might have a better resume than Maine.

Although I don't post on them, I was perusing a couple of the FCS chat forums and it seems like a lot of the Montana fans believe they will get into the top 8. I don't see how that is possible when NAU finished with a better conference record and beat them badly in their game. Is it possible the Big Sky could get three in the top 8? Because I don't see Montana beating out NAU.

Agreed I don't see how the committee could seed UM ahead of NAU given their record and maintain any credibility.
The Boobcats were the first team the Griz have beat with a winning record. I still think the beginning of the end for the Cats was the beatdown by the Eagles.

Looks like the selection committee sold out on UM, guess 26K plus in their barn was too tempting.

I think NAU got screwed by committee. They beat UM yet UM get #8 seed and NAU in not seeded. UM only beat one team with a winning record, got soundly beat by NAU and stomped by Eastern until we backed off and they got a couple of lucky scores.
Really happy SUU got in and it appears they are in a really good bracket for them to win a couple of games.
:ohno:

RIP Lehigh
They get snubbed last year at 11-1. And this year get knocked out in the very last week of the season by the first sub .500 team to ever make the playoffs. Insult to injury and all that :ohno:

I don't feel bad. Their fans act like the Patriot is on par or better than the Big Sky, CAA, MVFC, etc.

We'll call it, The Eagle Concussion
