What a joke
Beagles will be lucky to be within 21 points.

Ok ...
1. O-Line is not a mess, 1 guy left, that poses a problem, but last year EWU was starting a bunch of guys that had never played. OL is in better shape this season than fans thought it was at the start of last season.
2. Lost recievers, correct. Remains to be seen how that will play out this season, but go watch a few of the games last season when some of the younger guys did get on the field and you will see why fans are optimistic. There will definitely be a drop off, but then again we can go back quite a few years before we see a receiving corp at EWU that wasn't dominant. Eric Kimble, Aaron Boyce, Brandon Kauffman, Cooper Kupp, etc, etc, etc. (See NDSU game)
3. New coaching staff will be tough, but there is definite continuity to the staff. Defensive staff remains in place and it is a young team maturing. Offensively I heard a lot last season about how our staff had hired a new OC from a high school and how could a high school coach roll into a PAC-12 program on the 1st weekend and compete. Well ...
While there is some validity to a few of your points, something that has probably heightened expectations is that we have done some version of this almost every year. Last season was a new OC and a walk on QB ... beat WSU. The year before was on the road against #7 Oregon and our QB left to play for them and we had a new DC ... scored 42 in a loss. Maybe if fans went into it expecting to get waxed by UW by 50, we could celebrate a 42 point loss, but that is more of a griz thing to do.
All that being said, I have absolutely no idea what to expect this weekend. I know EWU expects to compete though.
