Rumor- Collins is staying

Rumor going around that Dunn has made the decision to keep Collins. Team meeting at 2:00 PM today to let the team know that he isn't going anywhere.

Don't even have words....

I don't think it matters if Boyer is fired or isn't fired the team is going to lose a lot of players.

The team hates collins. They need to get rid of his assistant but that's not happening so players are going to do what they have to do to make things right forthemselves.

I can second, that no one on the team really likes Collins. But like I said before, expect little support moving forward if he stays next year.

The complacency cloud will continue to linger over Greeley. You would figure those with the power (i.e. money) would not stand for this.

Confirmed. Dunn met with team and told them he is 100% behind this staff. Has been since he arrived at UNC and nothing is going to change. Told them that they have improved and this is the staff that will put them in the place to win.

Dunn is delusional.

Sadly that will not put fans and students in the seats. I cannot believe the bar has been lowered that much we find this acceptable. I have been a proud of alumnus for 43 years but my heart is not in it anymore to be constantly disappointed on football Saturdays. No longer living in Greeley I have not been able to attend any games this year and my donations will no longer find their way to Greeley as well.

Like I said in a previous post, some of you guys can hang around and support the wrong man for the job and program all you want. Apparently, there are those who are content with being less than mediocre and underachieve in addition to setting bad examples of how to take accountability as a man. Perhaps, that's the life those that support Collins and his philosophy lead their lives and that's cool...to each his own. What I do know is if you are not a part of the solution, then you are part of the problem.

My so has chosen to give up his scholarship and move forward as a walk on at another University. So long UNC Football, best of luck to you!

I can't blame him and I wish him the best of luck. Maybe if more players do that it would force the AD to make a change.

As far as I can tell there aren't a whole lot of people who are fans of Collins, so I have no idea what Dunn is thinking. And I'm going to agree, if I was a player I wouldn't want to stick around for this mess. Days like these make me wonder why I stick around as a fan. Maybe someday I'll see a winning season, boy, that will be the day...

Besides PlayerParent's son I have heard at least a couple more kids quit today and many more are considering transferring or just walking away from football altogether. At least two of those are pretty prominent players now. Only time will tell if they follow through with it, but if they do it will be a big blow to the depth and talent of this team next year and beyond.

This is the end of the program... Good luck to them in the future but I will no longer be a supporter of UNC Football... As a former player I feel for some of the current players I know.. Really wish they had a better situation

They quit today as in they won't be playing the next game, or are we talking in the off-season?
