Senior Highlights - Uncommitted Players

I've been running across some decent players who are flying under the radar.

Is there any interest in seeing some of their highlights posted here, just to spark the board while we are waiting on coaching news?

We need more than decent.

I'm not expecting much from this years recruiting class. Coaching change, slow response to hiring a coach = average or below average '11 recruiting class.

We may need more than decent but I am not sure we deserve more than decent.

Are there any players that have already committed? How many players is UNC looking to bring in on scholarship this year?

Wow. Tough crowd.

By "decent" players, I mean guys who can play D1 ball, but haven't been hit by the major schools yet, due to being from smaller schools, having no coach support, or not getting on the media bandwagon. There are some talented guys out there who haven't signed anywhere.

But it's cool. Just thought it might spark a few conversations.

According to Rivals, we have zero commitments at this point, but they don't always know unless the player tells them. The coaches aren't allowed to discuss recruits until signing day. And with the coaching situation as it is, I doubt any player wanted to commit not knowing who he'd play for.

but should heat up now.

Or if that list is too long to slog through, just look at these in-state guys who have interest:

DE Tommy Harris
Parker, ColoradoChaparral Honorable mention all-state 2010

LB Corey Ayers

What happened with the QB from somewhere in California that actually had UNC on his scope?

He started picking up a lot of Pac 10 offers, so he won't be coming to Greeley.

You are right on the QB situation. I think we need to concentrate on beefing up the OL & DL and its going to be sweet seeing some real enthusiasm out of Coach Collins!!

Another prospect who looks pretty good.

Kevin Hunholz, Linebacker and Fullback from Rangeview HS in Aurora. Graduating 2011.
Ht 6'1" Wt. 190 lbs. Wears jersey #40.

He's been all-conference every year as runningback since he was a sophomore. Also Maxpreps All 5-A team last year -- I don't think they named this year's team yet.

Here's another kid who says he's leaning toward being a Bear.

http://coloradoprepreport.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1175011

Arvada West wide receiver Sean Leslie
Official visit scheduled Jan. 22.
"I am excited about it. They are having new beginnings there. I got a chance to talk with Coach Collins and he sounded like he has a great plan for the school. I'd be excited to be a part of that."

Getting Leslie to not sign with Northern Colorado will take a lot.

"I don't think there is much that would keep me away from UNC. They have to try real hard to have me not come up there."

Here's his senior video:

I noticed where UNC offered this QB out of Colorado Springs.

Kris Kentera is a good player.

Hope the new staff is in contact, beyond extending an offer, which is a good first step.

He visited Wofford on Jan. 7, and Weber State this weekend. We need to get him in next weekend or risk missing out altogether.

Might project at DB in college.
