Senior Highlights - Uncommitted Players

http://rivals.yahoo.com/coloradoprepreport/football/recruiting/player-Daniel-Heppard-114708

Anyone know much about Daniel Heppard?

Inside LB from Cherry Creek, interested only in UNC and Wyo.

This is all I could find (from his junior year):
Daniel Heppard plans to camp at Colorado, Colorado State, Northern Colorado and Wyoming this summer. He wants to stay close to home for college. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound linebacker from Englewood (Colo.) Cherry Creek finished seventh in the Centennial League in tackles in 2009 despite missing the final three games of his junior season due to injury.

Uneventful senior year, at least I can't find much about him.

I noticed where UNC offered this QB out of Colorado Springs.
http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Kris-Kentera-108023

Highlight Video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhRUECOpZPM

Update from scout - we might get a visit, but he's also talking to Vanderbilt:
Last weekend Kentera visited Wofford and this weekend Kentera visited Weber State, both schools have posted official offers to the multi-talented Kentera. Kentera also holds an offer from Northern Colorado and he is trying to work in an official visit by the end of the month. The Kentera house will also be busy as both Coach McBride of Weber and Coach Collins of Northern Colorado make a stop.

A new suitor has recently entered the picture as Vanderbilt is now showing interest in Kentera. Last week Kentera met with Vanderbilt quarterback coach Ricky Rahne and this week Rahne will make a trip to Colorado Springs. Kentera will return the favor when he visits Vanderbilt on January 28th.

New name in the mix:

All-Conference and All-State 2011 athlete John Tidwell of Rangeview High School in Aurora, Colorado has two college offers as both Northern Colorado and Weber State want the speedy CB/WR/KR to join their programs.

Tidwell was one of Colorado’s leaders in interceptions posting eight picks for the year.

what about Jake Johnson from Longmont. He led them to the state championship game in '09 and was a 1st team all state '08 & '09 along with all region player of the year the same 2 years and also was the 4A offensive player of the year in 'o8 and an all conference selection in '07 '08 '09 along with being invited to the elite 11 where he did well and was written up about. I know Coach Downing had recruitted him out of High School but he decided to go else where. I heard from a friend that he left Adams State and is looking for a new home. We could use him as a Safety. I know thats what Downing had recruited him as sort of a Safety/athlete. He is 6'2 215 runs a 4.55 timed at Adams and squats 485 and benches 315 and cleans 315. He is a monster and i think he could really help us out.

You sure he was at Adams State? The recruiting buzz for Feb. 2010 said he went to CSU Pueblo.
Times-Call signing day story http://www.timescall.com/print.asp?ID=20636

But if he did sign with CSU Pueblo - or Adams State - he's not there on either roster now.
Roster: http://www.gothunderwolves.com/sports/fball/2010-11/roster?sort=last_name

Would be a nice get, though if he's available.
Rivals profile: http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Jake-Johnson-90663

He ended up not even going to csu pueblo and switched and went to adams but then asked to get released and did so thats why he wont show up on any roster. but i have also been doing my research on him and i think we should give him a look. people loved him on the defensive side of the ball and would have gone somewhere better had he wanted to play defense at the time. he is also an under the radar qb i have watched him play and seen tape and he is a leader and has a good ball and can run

I think Alex Buya is worth your attention, check his senior highlights:

I have a relative that just committed to UNC after taking his official this weekend. He had 5 other offers at not only 1AA but also 1A and D2. He is cancelling his visit to Weber State for next weekend. The new coach sold him after his one on one with him this weekend. Travis Bernard is San Diego Section's Offensive Player of The Year and a 1st team US Air Force All-American. Look at the list of San Diego players who have won this award previously. You will know every name. He is very pleased with his decision and looking forward to Starting school. He also said there were some big lineman at the visit this weekend and three others committed. All of the lineman were from in-state.

Wow, he seems to have fantastic vision.

This is exciting news!!! Travis Bernard has some real quickness and ability to shake tacklers. Keep up the good work Coach Collins and staff. Nice to see new coaches and team members at BB games. Keep the momentum going

Fairview LB Brandon Boyles took a visit this past weekend. He has offers from UNC and Drake and walk-on CSU. According to Rivals he wants to go to a school that has a good business school. Well, shit. Not many schools have a better under-grad business school than UNC.

Travis Bernard is a great pick for UNC. San Diego produces A LOT of great football players. More under the radar San Diego players:

Jose Sanchez - DL (Coronado High) 6-2/260
RIVALS All San Diego Section DL
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJDlspGeQz8

Jonny Martin - RB (Cathedral) 5-10/195
RIVALS All San Diego Section RB

Both players are being looked at by D-1 programs. Great picks for UNC!

Found another one -- potentially committed if you can decipher this quote:

Ponderosa lineman Sean Palinckx is among the biggest athletes in the entire state. And the size and abilities that helped him stand out on the football field have also helped in the recruiting process. Palinckx is nearing in on a decision.

Sean Palinckx
"Not fully but I am pretty sure where I want to go. I kind of committed to UNC. I'm just going to give it a little time to make sure that it is what I want. I went on visits to CSU-Pueblo and UNC but I think UNC the best."

From Rivals Prep Report http://coloradoprepreport.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1180249

Sean was All-Colorado 4A this year.

So did these guys give their commitment? Nothing says so on Rival.

Hope this guy does come to UNC, we need his size for sure. 6-7/290

Cherry Creek offensive lineman Cassidy Curtis was also on a recruiting trip to UNC this past weekend. He had earlier committed to Eastern Washington in Dec. He likes what coach Collins is bringing to UNC and likes the facilities. According to Rivals he is considering both but is leaning towards the Eagles.

That brings me to my next point. I'm not expecting a great singing class this year, just because of how late Collins was hired. Eastern is hitting Colorado hard and they have the best recruiting advantage - they win on a consistent basis.
