I guess its safe to say that Chapman is not coming to Weber. I'm pretty sure we would know by now. I wonder what the deal is? Anyone???? Bueler?????

I guess like the other posters have said, if he wants to be a Wildcat he will and if he doesn't we'll win the BSC without him, but I'd rather have him with us... that said I guess he was up at USU playing pick up ball the other night:

Oh yeah people might be interested to know that BC was there and played very good. Had a monster block and 3-4 dunks. The final dunk and play of the night was highlight stuff. Oh my gosh. He had everyone amazed.

Boom goes the dynamite! Good luck to all of the other Big Sky post players. Braxton & BC are going to be a lethal tandem. Plus if Jordan Dallas develops. Watch Out!

Now if only we had a dedicated Big Man Coach. (Thats for you Olds)

He'll sit out this year, but man next year should be really fun

The real question is whether or not he can score more than 39 out of 50 in a UK All Star dunk contest? Are we going to have to free up a scollie for him?

 If Dallas is good, and with another year of development, look the hell out! That's a very talented front line, all over 6-9.

BREAKING NEWS!

I just submitted my resume' to Randy. I have applied for the 'dedicated Big Man Coaching' position. After reading this forum, Randy decided it was a must have for our program at WSU. I expected my application to be greeted with enthusiasm, but all I got was a blank stare. I'm fully qualified. I once played against Willy Sojourner. That should be more than enough to land the job. I've got my fingers crossed.

As for Brekkott joining our program, I think it is a win/win for everyone. He is going to be a great addition to our team and our coaching staff can help him get to the next level. I've watched him play with our guys three times this spring and I can tell you that he fits right in. I predict a bright future for him. He needs to hit the weights to gain a little size and strength, but he can surely get that done. Having this red shirt year is going to do him a world of good.

Well...since early May, most of us have been sweating bullets wondering whether or not we will end up with Chapman. Great to finally find out that that is now a reality and that he in fact is coming to Weber State. Congratulations to Coach Rahe and to Brekkott. Welcome to Weber!!

Should be the highest rated recruit by a good margin ever to play in BSC.... Does Weber pull a Scholarship to get Chapman a free ride this year?

Local media is reporting that Chapman will be on scholarship.

First off, I am happy Chapman is coming to Weber. I certainly hope he lives up to everyone's expectations.
But looking over his stats from the U for the past two years, I see some potential problems. His 3-point percentage dropped way off from his 1st to 2nd year at the U. From 44% to 27%. If he is the 44% shooter from 3 he'll be hard to stop in the Sky. Not sure about if he's the 27% shooter.

More importantly, he seems to be a foul-machine. In just under 500 minutes of playing time last year he committed 70 fouls. That's 1 foul every 7 minutes. And he committed 80 fouls in just over 500 minutes his freshman year - almost 1 foul every 6 minutes. Compare those #s to Bolomboy last year: 1 foul every 13.5 minutes, or Hill 1 foul every 9 minutes, or even Braxton 1 foul every 8 minutes.

I sure hope this is something he can improve upon. 'Cause if he can't stay on the floor due to foul trouble, it doesn't matter how talented he is.
