I think we all know what that means.Yea, heard and thought the same.

Best's contract runs through 2027. Phase 2 is supposed to be complete for the 2028 season. Seems like good timing for a reboot to me.This is an absolutely shameful second half performance, on the road or not. We finally have facilities improvements coming soon, it's time for a new coaching staff.
I thought construction is going to commence immediately following this season. It's going to take two years to build that press box? Seems like a long time.Best's contract runs through 2027. Phase 2 is supposed to be complete for the 2028 season. Seems like good timing for a reboot to me.
Collins said they're going to talk to the architects about the final design this winter but its hard to think any AD really gives a shit about Eastern as Eastern is often just a stepping stone to something bigger. He probably just wants this to pad his resume.I think we all know what that means.
I thought I read that as well.I thought construction is going to commence immediately following this season. It's going to take two years to build that press box? Seems like a long time.
Based on that, I'm guessing they start spring/summer of 2027 and construction takes a year to be complete by fall of 2028.Here's the schedule we know right now:
- October 10, 2026: EWU will hold the ceremonial Phase 2 groundbreaking during Homecoming.
- 2027: Actual construction is scheduled to begin. EWU has not yet publicly specified the month construction will start.
- Summer 2028: Construction should be substantially complete.
- 2028 football season: The new press box is scheduled to be open and operational before the season begins.
If the funds are secured now, why not just start construction this off season and have it reqdy for next season?Based on that, I'm guessing they start spring/summer of 2027 and construction takes a year to be complete by fall of 2028.
It’ll have something to do with permits and such. It is Washington state, after all. The bureaucracy must have their say.If the funds are secured now, why not just start construction this off season and have it reqdy for next season?
I agree, but I don't think anyone is complaining. Just asking questions, which is ok.I don’t understand why anyone would complain about any upgrades to the stadium at this point. 20 years of empty promises should be enough to get excited about the new press box. The stands won’t be filled anyway until we have a new coaching staff.
