The Hornets Against That School Across the Causeway

The f bombs are legit, and we know so, otherwise stay on your own faggie board. When talking about “the farm extension”, all the stops are pulled out. Yes, cal poly beat us; it was their best game of the year. They never matched the stats they had that game. They definitely played down to their potential the rest of the year as I though they would. Sac State laid, an egg, it happens. We all know any team in the GWC wouldn’t be able to compete in a BSC conference schedule. If you disagree…well…. Never said we are the cream of the crop in the BSC, but we all know no GWC team would even be competitive in this type of a schedule. I mean struggleing against the Dakotas…

“ the farm extension” replaceing Sac State in the BSC…. . Seriously like your admin will want to fund all your other sports partaking in the BSC sponsored athletic schedule… . Really, you actually think they would break from the bus league the big west is… . I’ll as calm as no other. Seriously, toke it up, take a breath, and when Sac rolls on some more faggie ass this weekend, nothing else will need to be said this weekend.

GO HORNETS! 8-)

Um, never matched the stats the rest of the year? They scored 48 points and had 535 yards of total offense yesterday against South Dakota. Do we all believe that no GWC team would be successful in the Big Sky? I think there are some fans from Montana, Portland State and Sac State who would think we would fit in nicely and add to an already good conference.

So the question still remains, how many winning seasons does Crack State have in the "big leagues?"

Congrats, they got stats against a DI transitional school. Hang your hat on whatever makes you sleep at night. Until you have a full season of BSC scheduling, sit down and shut the [bleep] up. ;)

What is Crack State in reference to?
Are you referring to a farmers crack?
Because the only crack around here is attached to fine blonde hotties.

I understand the need to run smack, but we're REALLY crossing the line here. Cursing IS over the line, as are references to orientation and drug use. I'm locking this thread.

Im unlocking the topic...but posts will be edited if it gets out of hand.

SH, don't worry about the "drug" comments...they are not really referencing drug use...all part of the smack.

Awesome! It seats twice as much! Wow, those bleachers and press box sure make Aggie Stadium look like a dump. Yeah, you are right, Hornet Stadium is better.

As for out-recruiting, I am not so sure about that. Hornets played much better last year against the Ags, nobody can argue that. But in terms of making strides from last year to this year, it doesn't look like the Hornets have done so well. Of course injuries have decimated the RB core for the Hornets, but come on.
When was the last time Sac State had a winning season in Division I?

If Smith can't play, it is going to be a long day for the Hornets. Just try not to get caught spraying Pam on your jerseys before the game.

The Hornets' record is deceiving just as the ags' record is. The Hornets have played an all DI schedule that included FIVE nationally ranked teams. The ags played a ho hum schedule that included TWO transitional tams and a DII team.

Last season the Hornets had two DII teams on the schedule which helped pad some stats and get a couple W's, so in essance, last years schedule was even MORE deceiving than this years'.

Last year it was easy to see who the standout players were, this year you never know who's going to shine during any game.

GO HORNETS!

Actually Stung, they have 3 wins against transitional teams because Winston Salem State is a transitional team this year, but they have announced they are abandoning it after this year and headed back to D-2. So in essence, the ags only have 2 D-I wins this year: PSU and Poly.

Thanks for the clarification, I didnt hear the news Winston-Salem. And they think they had a great year, theyre not even playing a DI schedule, maybe they should drop back down to DII!

The recent budgetary cuts are taking their toll at UCD. Just last week they announced the discontinuance of all driver's ed and sex education classes.

The mule died, and there was just no money with which to replace her.

This is just an epic response.

No one asked you.

Suchor field is not bad for a HS stadium.

This is fantastic. Let me ask you a simple question, it involves some critical thinking and economics, so that excludes most of you on the board from answering. What is better, starting out with a stadium that seats just over 10,000 but can and will be expanded to 30,000? Or, having a stadium that seats 20,000 and having it half full maybe, MAYBE, once a year? I think that creating a buzz (ZERO pun-intended) and selling out games is a lot better than having a stadium where everyone can have a row to themselves. You can knock the "high school" all you want, but when it comes down to it, the Honuts have never had a winning season in Division I and have won 1 out of the last 10 games against the Ags.

It hurts to be a Hornets fan, I can tell.

face it, you'll NEVER expand it to 30,000. NE-VER. that's like saying "daddy says we'll get a house once he gets a job, but for now this trailer will do." unless the pro rodeo comes to campus and they need a new venue for barrel racing, you'll never expand that stadium. even in your marketing materials for the stadium, you all mention the ability to attract CIF playoff games...

Guys, come on, we should not be so hard the folks across the causeway. I mean their President has stated that they will expand the stadium in like 2000 and never. We should congratulate them though. I hear that they will be hosting the 2010 Goat Ropin, Cow Tippin, and Bull Milkin championships, and they have several entrants. All to be held at Sochor Stadium. Wow, fantastic! I bet the Bee gives them a great write up.

Well well,

Another year of playing the J St. Truck Driving School. Hopefully the economy picks up so y'all have some menial labor to do.

Well Well Well,

Welcome, the world famous aggiemba is in the house! Last I heard you were banned from AGS! By the way thanks for moving us up from our fast food jobs last year to truck drivers and beauticians this year, hopefully by next year we will make it all the way to heavy equipment operators and tattoo artists! Sadly you will still be using your mba degree (masters of barnyard affairs) cleaning out the stalls. I hope that you find a nice single sheep to become a soul mate with!
Please try and make it to Hornet Stadium on Saturday to watch our Hornets, 6th place in the Big Sky Conference at 4-4 take on your mighty aggie cumpions and the cream of the crop of the Great West Conference, it will be an eye opener!

Who played a tougher schedule means nothing in this game, Davis beat some of our best teams to date (Roberts, Ray) playing a Divison II schedule and won 9 in a row, the majority of those as a DII or I-AA "transitional" school, while we were in the mighty Big Sky conference.

-Backup running backs will run wild behind an amped O-Line!

-Denham will throw a pick 6

-MBT/JS play relatively mistake free

-Attendance: 13,689

-UCD make is close in the end

SCORE: SAC STATE HORNETS 34 UC DUNGPILE 28 F

Bonus Prediction:

-I will catch a towel from the dance team for the 3rd home game in a row

I'm predicting a thumping...
Sac - 38
UCD - 17

We throw 2 long TD strikes (40+ yds each)
We gain 175+ on ground
Denham is sacked 3 times
Davis turns over ball 3 times, 1 time for a score
I get drunk beforehand and haze Phaggies

Not sure where the impression "the Ags' strength of schedule is weak" came from. Davis played Montana, Cal Poly in the FCS and oh yeah, Fresno St. and Boise St. in the FBS. Yup, we scheduled S. Oregon and Winston Salem, but nobody faces a top team each week, not even in the big bad BSC. Davis has a top-5 SOS in all of FCS....something the Hornets can not say. SSU's SOS is not bad at all, but even with the supposed disparity between the GWFC and the BSC, Davis' is 15 spots higher than SSU.

In the past five years Davis has struggled in its transition from D-II to FCS, no doubt, but even with that, SSU has one once (ONE TIME) in a decade. SSU is on the upswing, Davis is getting its' feet wet, and you still have only one vcitory this millenium. Not to mention, Davis has a winning record this year in FCS, while SSU continues its trend of losing seasons year in and year out.

Its gonna be interesting on Saturday, but Aggies pull-out a close one on the road:

UCD - 41
SSU- 37

http://www.sacbee.com/topstories/story/2332774.html

a davis scholarship just went up 32%. How you gonna fund 85 schollies for your 30K seat stadium?

Check Sac State's schedule, we did play a top team every week.
