The PAC/MWC Dominoes Begin to Fall

Exactly. This train is not stopping - I am 100% confident new stadium is being built and the Causeway will be the last game in the erector set as we know it.

I am 99.9% certain there are benchmarks that the SAC12 are hitting to soften the backlash from any existing fanbases in the PAC 12. The only reason I say 99.9 is because I feel like there might be competition for us from the MWC once these media deals are fully realized and our inclusion has a dollar sign associated with it.

I am a doomer many times, but I have been told by the best sources possible that we will be accepting an invite very soon. We’re close to the timeline that was quoted to me too.

I have also been told that our football team’s performance for the remainder of the year is not even a consideration in the conference realignment game.
Thank God! However us as passionate Hornet fans are still pissed with losing. 😂😂😂

Excellent post. Dr. Wood isn't doing all this work just for the lolz. Something is going to happen, for sure the stadium and very likely an FBS invite. However only one of those items is within his control. I heard from another source confirming that bonding is going to the CSU Board in November and there are already funds lined up for the stadium. This will be common knowledge whenever the November Board agenda goes public, unless Dr. Wood makes an announcement beforehand.

Regarding the benchmarks, no one serious would have pulled these metrics out of thin air and generated this current spectacle without having some back channel communications to get an understanding about what is needed for consideration of an invite.

Yeah. That was the end conclusion from that tweet. Those schools need financial help to move up. Sac State does not.

Not sure your casual fan understands that it takes more than a good football program to be an FCS to FBS candidate for these conferences.

Being affiliated with and having teams like Oregon St / Fresno St / Boise St coming to our new FB Stadium will be 100% electric.

Guaranteed sellouts in season tickets and rest of the stadium,

Honestly with 25,000 seats and that caliber of FB we should do like Montana Griz make entire stadium season ticket available except for 500 seat Visiting Team?

Is there a rule about requiring visiting team seating in stadium?

The market would make it where people could sell game tix that couldnt attend on a stubhub style exchange.

We need to elevate our FB to compete. We can’t look like clowns. We need to get scrappy and pull in high 3 & 4⭐️ talent.

New OC at bare minimim
New Strength / Conditioning / Nutritionist etc do it right

I'm pretty sure that SnowBelt twitter is just a meme account. The Montuckies don't have the money to go FBS and I think I saw an interview with one of their admin that indicated as such. The XDSU's could probably pull FBS off if their respective state legislatures funded the move.

The worst news for Sac State’s stadium effort this week isn’t your loss last night.

Because of the field conditions at Snapdragon, the NWSL game today got moved from San Diego to Louisville (the erstwhile road team). When soccer and football are sharing, there better be regular field maintenance.
