The PAC/MWC Dominoes Begin to Fall

I doubt that. Nothing worse than a woman scorned. Gloria Nevarez MWC is a smart business person. She doesn't need to discount it.

In addition Teresa stating her plan of that in public was poor execution.

Part of that “saved $” from that settlement she was going to direct toward bringing Memphis to PAC to get 8 members FBS.

Without those funds Memphis will decline like in past. Buy out too big in AAC. Travel costs too big too without extra $$.

Then she wants to use whatever they have to try bring Tulane, USF, Louisiana or TX State in.

After that she mentions SAC STATE option.

If we were already FBS like Sam Houston for example we could have already joined in my opinion.

I see this coming down to litigation between PAC & MWC poaching fees. Also how long that drags out.

If I were MWC I’d drag it out to suffocate PAC from a having Memphis.

Let’s see how savage Gloria is? The Teresa interview wasn’t smart disclosing her plan of action.

Truthfully for business reasons I want PAC for Max $. But I still like the MWC as well. Still some solid programs and having Reno & SJSU regionally are very convenient partners for over 20 sports.

Well stated. The PAC poaching of the MW fallout has been quite the saga to follow. Nevarez has outwitted and outmaneuvered Gould nearly every step of the way. Key thing to note is that all of these schools have backstabbed each other over the years regarding conference realignment which dates back to the Big West football days so there is no love lost between all these universities.

People think the PAC and MW will settle on the poaching fee issue, but there is no reason for the MW to cave and the longer they draw it out in litigation the more desperate the PAC will get...which of course is good for our chances of getting into the PAC.

Various folks have speculated that the media money isn't there to entice the AAC targets to come over, and they also likely wouldn't want to make a decision until the poaching fee litigation is resolved. It's a total mess for the PAC.
 
From the looks of it, the strategy has failed. Hopefully I’m wrong but the yapping about the SAC12, and letting your twin brother run the campaign with a one track mind does have ramifications.
 
Well looks,like many things are settled, including a fairly long ride in the Big Sky for the future. Facilities, facilities facilities. Who would have guessed that 50 years of failed admins would lead to this???
 
I dunno man.......Unless there is an unwritten/unannounced agreement with our Chancellor that Davis is going to mobilize for FBS within a couple years, I don't really see the point of this (my initial reaction until I know more).

The fact that we "kicked the tires" on the WCC says this had nothing to do at all with football. But who knows.....

Odd move, I would have thought they would have leaned hard on FB. WCC is a head scratcher for sure.

It's absolutely a backdoor into FBS in the future on their terms. It's MWC door to the Sacramento market.

Suck State is just hot air with JC mindset.

Congrats Davis for having leadership.
Next up announcement of Davis stadium expanding with construction right after the season.

Yep! However if you guys remember back in the day that SAC ST Baseball was in the WAC and our football was not.

Bottom line! Until we break ground on our new football stadium the PAC & MWC aren’t going to extend an invitation to us!

Bottom line UCD is taking its Big West Teams to MWC.

Not sure the PAY Delta between Big Sky / Big West or PAC12 for Olympic Sports Only?

This is a hedge for the MWC in that they have a potential call up already in the conference if/when necessary.

All Sac has done is back slap, Instagram photo and make inuendo's. Where is the new Well BBall facility? No pics, progress or updates. Supposed to be ready by now.

If we get left behind, I am walking away.
