The Vandals

I never said Idaho was a dominating force in D1 folks... give it up. I came on here to see who was coming up to the game. And as I said BEFORE... I know that our past 4 years have been bad... but what do you expect, we had a coach up here recruiting NAIA talent... our athletic trainer was quoted as saying that to one of my buddies. Holt had the program turning around before he left (yes i know the scores don't indicate that, but we were in every game except Nevada... it was our lack of depth due to injuries and coaching that let the games get away from us... see BSU, if anyone watching that game they know we were tied up with them in the 3rd). Dennis will turn the program around, I don't believe there is anyone that can doubt that... Good luck next year....

Curious, how many of you are making the trip up to Moscow this year?

Oh yeah, are you ready for these two guys to lock down anything Gutierrez puts in the air?? In the words of one of our coaches "These two guys are better than any DB's we had on our OSU team the year we won the Fiesta Bowl"

Above is your statement. Starts out asking how many are coming. But ends up smack. Don't say I was only asking. Cause it just isn't true. I hope Gutierrez puts a hurt'n on your boys. Thats #8 and #6, together they will be 86'd

Hey Mcgahee, Congrats on getting a great coach, Now shut your pie hole. Hopefully your vandals can hang with us. Am I overly confident? How about 16 returning starters that took Kentucky (better than you) to the end in front of 60,000 in SEC land. Plus a talented QB that's thrilled to have the opportunity with a good team. Erickson is a good purchase, but hear this: You can spend a day polishing a turd; however, at the end of the day, you still have a turd!

McGaheeIsGod said: "No one gives a rat's a$$ about your university whether it be academics or athletics."

Right. Thats why you've posted 7 times today.

The fact is the Vandals play in the smallest I-A stadium in America, they have a storied history of losing football games (419-507), and they are 16-53 (1-5 vs. I-AA) in the 21st Century. With that said, why would your first post be smack? BTW, the MIGHTY Dennis Erickson is only 2-2 against the Bengals.

Bottom line is Idaho has more scholarships and d-1 recruited talent which means more speed then ISU has. With that said Idaho has bottom of the barrel d-1 talent that borderlines 1-aa talent. Idaho may in fact win the game but ISU will have its nose in it to the end and may have a shot like they did against Kentucky. ISU's ability to control the game with Barnett and Cornist (both better than Byrd who is a solid running back for Idaho) will be where ISU puts stock in its ability to win this game. ISU can win this game if they play mistake free football, my only concern is getting outcoached by Erickson. Still somebody should remind him that the DUI laws in this state are stricter then they were in the early 80's.

Idaho 31
ISU 27

"...and I'm willing to say the only coach EVER in the state of Idaho that has two national championships under his belt."

Football, maybe (although not while at Idaho). However...

Dubby Holt, Coach, Idaho State
NCAA Boxing National Champions
1953 & 1957

Ummm...since McGee is counting Erickson's two titles elsewhere, how about new ISU men's basketball coach Joe O'Brien and his THREE national titles.

Ahhh, good to be back from Mexico.....

In answer to McGahee, I'm going to Moscow. As to the rest of this drivel, thank God for the Smack Board. Knothole has it pretty well pegged. We can win this one but advantage Idaho. Go Bengals.

Tater, Tater, Tater...you sell, me no buy.

Bengals- many
Vandelas- few (playing without Martha)

I strongly disagree with knothead (oops) I mean knothole and Tater. Don't give the Vandals any respect. They need to earn it which they won't. I can take the smack from some people but not from Idaho. Mcgahee pops off about academics: every grad from Idaho that I know has a degree in farming.

Just because it's an ag school doesn't mean they only teach farmers. I am sure they have some fine kids there, just no scientists, silver.

I do remember the beautiful pass to with the game in 85 (86?) where bengals won on the Hail Mary in the dome. That was sweet. Made me want to moonwalk.

they are in fact the only school in idaho that has had a student linked to the al' queda too. great college up there--not worth calling a university though.

ISU 31
UofI 24

Didn't 'Deep Throat' go to U of I too? Just ask McGahee how he got his name. I think it is standard procedure for undergrads up there...

Tuff,
I think mcgaheeisgod is a Pocatello boy that is currently in school at UofI. (I could be wrong, but I think this is true) And for the record, I think Pocatello is a much better town than Moscow.

You never know with a game like this, but I have a feeling ISU wins this game.

QB, I think you are right about Mcgaheeisgod guy. He is up there learning how to be a farmer. Nothing against farmers. I just don't think you need a degree in it to be great at it. I think this guy is 'deep throat', and he is taking a class on the subject. It's a non co-ed class.

BE CAREFUL, KNOTHEAD, YOU MIGHT UPSET ME, and then you'll get a joke. That sounds like a thin bengal veneer. As far as that Mcgahole goes, were gonna see a lot more of their kind as Bengals Roll Over the Sky.

ISU- 39 big time attack
IU - 16 one td, lots of fgs- props to OUR dbs 8-)

ISU 38
UI 28 There will be plenty of ORANGE Magahee hee hoohoohoooooooo. I plan on making the trip. It will be a good hard fought game no matter.....

I'm planning on making the trip. I am seriously considering a charter flight from Poky to Moscow. Would anybody else on this board be interested in flying over and back on Saturday?
Just feeling the water out.

One thing I can say about UI is they have upheld their rep as one of the biggest party schools in the country. Look who they hired as their coach. Bottoms up Vandals!!!

RaiderMan your last post was the only bright spot in my shi*&y day. The 'bottoms up' line is classic. Funny sh#$. Win or lose in Moscow it will be tons of fun!!!!! Hope Gutz shreds them for 400 yards in the air. Ever since Gutz announced he was transfering and ISU-Idaho was put on the schedule, all the Bronco fans I work with keep pestering me for spring ball info. They want ISU and BSU to sweep Idaho this year. Kind of fun for a change.

:-X :-X :-X

I'm in if we can get enough people (and beer) on board to make it worth while.

Hey, wasn't it a U of I student falling from a dorm bacony that put the clamps on tailgating?
