Thoughts on the game

Just another EWU student checking in. I've been checking this forum almost daily for the past 3 yrs. Ive posted here before, mainly on the recruiting post. Now entering my Sr. yr. I've been to every home game since my Fr yr and had a blast at the UW game. Looking forward to traveling to UM game and watch my Eags put a beat down on the griz. I agree with TRochon and I'm confident we will have a packed house for every home game this year. I also believe that we are building a bigger generation of long term fans who will continue attending games even after they are done at Eastern.

And that, my good sir, is the key.

student turnout for the first few games last year was good but then went downhill as the season progressed. with another record enrollment this fall and only four home games these kids should be packing Roos every game!

Brilliant insight. We opened up the offense today, and are up 21-0 on Hawaii in the first quarter. Price has already thrown for more yards than he did the entire game last week.

I'm guessing you're not watching the game. If you were, you would see we are playing a completely different style on both sides of the ball. The offense has opened everything up and the D is containing the most productive passer in all of college football last year.

perhaps they're playing a different style of ball because they got statistically crushed last week.

They're playing the same style of ball they played last season. It's pretty clear at this point UW took you guys lightly. Thank god it didn't bite us in the butt.

And to be clear, I'm not taking away anything from Eastern. They're a very good team.

Nice work mensa, did you miss the pick?

LOL, Price is 13 of 17 for 272 yards and 3 TD's at halftime. He is averaging over 16 yards per recpetion. And your analysis is his ONE interception? Ok bud....

Nice game for Price, the point is that the conservative offense limited turnovers and kept Easterns offense off the field. Limiting them to 500 yards in offense, so, yes, the int matters.

Nothing against UW they have a fine football team.

The limited offense didn't keep Eastern off the field because it limited our production. And you can't pick and choose which results would have applied to last weekes game. If you say the INT shows opening up the offense would have created turnovers, then you have to acknowledge it also would have created more yards and scores for UW. If you use todays game as the only applicable example, it would have worked out in UW's favor against Eastern.

Of course it's all speculation, but I still think Sark and company called a foolish game last week.
