Note to Coach Rahe: Quit being so stubborn and change the lineup already! Try something different. Anything. What's it going to hurt at this point?
Rahe is part of the problem. I really think the players look lost and the story that they are too young just doesn't make sense. I agree with midmajor the issues are the same and the competition is well scouted on Weber's foibles!

Hill needs help...... But who do you replace him with in the line up. Rahe just refuses to give a lot of playing time to James and Van Pelt is buried on the bench. I think the team really misses Beckner.

We might as well get used to it, this coaching staff is too stubborn to try something different. They are going to ride the same players and game plan into the ground and then wonder what happened at the end of the year. We are seeing how these coaches react to adversity and it is not pretty. I would love to see a change in the line up as many have suggested. If nothing else just to see if they succeed or fail. This team needs a spark and some excitement. Bolomboy and Hill play with very little passion. I have not seen them dive on the floor one time this year. Nor get in someone's face or get a technical. What do we have to lose, except more games? We have seen some small steps forward in recent weeks only to be followed up by a game like last night. That's what I am waiting to see ... someone on the team to show that they really care and have some pride.

 What's a panty weight? I think it's panty waist. This is as entertaining as the Super Bowl.

I hope Wildcats didn't go to Weber! If that's the English/grammar of a Weber grad...... I'm looking for a new school!

What a loser.......

It has been so fun messing with you all who think you know the game of basketball during the Super Bowl but it is time to get ready for the after parties in Arizona even though the Hawks didn't win. Any of you jock straps sniffers want an autograph.Lol! I hear there is a book out called Weber State Basketball Clueless it will probably be better than the dumplings tonight. Try it.

So...the UNCO game didn't go so well. We lacked toughness and defensive intensity. One thing about the Sky, which is a bit unusual, is that there are a bunch of very mature and veteran teams. The cubbies are one of those teams. They have a handful of senior players, who are major contributors. Losing to Weber, on their court, against, what they deem as a rival wasn't going to happen. After halftime they took the floor determined. Weber didn't match the cubbies intensity. Heavens it seemed they didn't even want to play. That could be youth, lack of leadership, no team chemistry a number of things. Weber is talented enough to beat every team. They just don't seem very excited to rise to the challenge.

On a side note, I really like Hill. He is a good kid, who has a bright future. What frustrates me is that he has sooo much talent. He is smart and a good character kid. He just seems lost at times. There are moments he is sooo smooth and efficient, and then there are those times he disappears on the court. I want him to succeed. I want them all to succeed. Yet, being a scholarshipped player brings with it a level of necessary accomplishment and success. If you aren't meeting the committed expectation then you run the chance of losing your support. That how it is with every scholarship, that's how it is in life.

You guys look lame making fun of Grammer and spelling on a fan board. It's the go to insult i guess once u been served.

Plus tal is a talentless wannabe that only attends and complains cuz Abbeglen cut him at student try outs. Now he is just a towny drop out.

It's getting all e-grizzy here.

A few wins should get this place back in working order. Lots of basketball left, Weber fans.

Randy and those coaches know what they are talking about. Tal you were the idiot before the season started that just knew Coston was going come in and be the next Mook so we already know you couldn't play yourself out of a brown paper bag let alone beat Randy in a game of kickball. Fans are a means to and end and that's the only way we should ever look at you all. You ride our jocks when we are winning thinking we really care about you and then when we have a tough year you act like you can tell us how to play. You are a stepping stone to you are right about one thing an education and in some cases the next level. Guys like you go home and tell you dumpling of a wife I help our team to a win tonight or I wish they would listen to me know what I am talking about. Stick to what you know Tal and I guarantee you after your Coston prediction is not basketball.

There was individuals on the coaching staff and inside the program comparing Bamforth to Golden and Coston to Mook. Unfortunately, this bold prediction you are talking about didn't come from Tal. He may have repeated it but there were many people making comparisons on these two JC kids.

I'll take responsibility for making those comparisons last summer. They were based on watching their performance at that time. The problem was not what they were doing offensively, because they looked really good. The aspect that I failed to see is what a poor defensive squad we had. I just assumed that we would be as good as always on D. If I would have known what a weak defensive team this was, it would have told me that these guys were not as good as they looked. Our own weak D was making them look good. It was a mistake that I plan to avoid, as much as I can, in the future. Playing a zone may be the only thing we can do with consistency. We are just too passive to play good man D. :twocents:

Where did you get the idea that UNC believes Weber is a rival? I for one don't consider you guys a rival.

Beardown not trying to shake the boat here, and I'm definitely not trying to under-value your cubbies victory on Saturday. It was an ass kicking. I'm only reporting what was told to me. I was at the Butler-Hancock for the game. While there, most of the fans I talked to said, for conference, that Weber was their biggest rival. They all mentioned CSU and WYO as being bigger rivals, but for conference they consider Weber the biggest. I always thought it was UND, but I was corrected on Saturday night. Personally, I've never considered UNCO a rival. More than once I was told that Saturday nights game was the biggest home game of the year for the Bears. Sponsors had Bears shirts on every seat, and the place was virtually packed. Great atmosphere. I loved it...other than the butt kickin.

It looked like a good crowd watching the stream and the students looked engaged and like they were enjoying themselves. Speaking of that, I liked the crowd at the Sac St. game, the student sections looked as good as they have all year.

I think the team has the potential for being a really good defensive team, but right now, they aren't. UNCO and the week before Sac shot blistering percentages. The Cats are passive and soft.

As for my perceptions...I have always owned them. I do feel that there is a lot more to Coston that the Cats haven't seen yet. He just doesn't get any consistent time. He is undersized, but he is scrappy, which is exactly the attitude this team needs. He can't shoot for range, but is fairly good hitting mid-range jumpers and getting to the hoop. Is he the answer...no, but I think we discount his abilities. Problem with Coston is that he doesn't get consistent mins to show what he has to offer.

Anyway...I've said it before and I'll say it again. The starting five should be:
Hunter
Senglin
GIttens
Bolomboy
Hajek
