I'm going to get into huge trouble here but the Cheney faithful have to wake up. I know you are ready to build a statue to VA but seriously, BlackFalcon is right. We will never get to a championship game with VA at QB. Three huge mistakes in the game include the last halftime play where he didn't throw away the ball and tried to run, that ran out the clock. Next, the game winning throw to Cooper Kupp (overthrown) and last the terrible throw for an interception to Cory Mitchell with four defenders around him. The kid is a good but not great QB and will never get this team to the promised land. There are players on this team that are heartsick of mediocrity. Second place is not good enough.

But yet, we were 1 play away from getting to the promise land and shouldn't the other side of the ball also be equally responsible for this lose. I'm not saying build a statue of VA, but I also don't see a better/proven QB currently on the roster.

My point...there should be.

1. I would hardly call back to back trips to the semi's, an undefeated conference record, and a win over a Pac-12 school "mediocrity".
2. The other QB's that are currently on the roster as well as the one coming in as a Freshman next year(Hennessey) will have a chance to prove they are better than Adams. Until then, it's all purely conjecture. Beau knows QB's, the best one will play.

“Whine Guy”
I Wouldn’t build a statue for any football player. VA made some mistakes in the game. So what. It is a team sport. Get over it, move on. Go to Frisco and take BlackFalkin with you.

This thread is a joke.

We would have lost to OSU, PSU, and Montana without VA, which means we wouldn't have made the playoffs...

VA is a tremendous talent and will own every EWU record by the time he is done playing and next year we are probably the pre-season #1 team in the country with a very favorable schedule, and should be the favorites to win it all....

Let's hope Beau is still around to make the choice.

No doubt VA had a tremendous game against OSU.

Dear Wineguy,

As a parent of a former player (as am I), I think it is prudent to confine our comments to more constructive matters. It is particularly troubling that you are so critical of a player that now holds the position that your son formerly enjoyed. I suspect if similar comments had been posted about Bo Levi after his first few games of the 2010 season in which he had uneven performances, you would have taken great umbrage.

VA had a great season, he lead the team to a number of singular team records and earned personal accolades as well. He will continue to learn and, hopefully thrive. We supported Bo Levi when he was here and continue to follow his current career. We support Cory and hope he continues to do well. It would reflect well on you and your family if you did the same for VA and other current players.

I feel strongly enough about this to sign my name rather than just leave these comments under my profile name.

Sincerely,

Lanie Williams (mother of Grant Williams LB, 2008-12)

Hey Wineguy gave a compliment to a QB other than his kid(s). Albeit for one game I'm still writing this down as not to forget since after next year he'll disappear into obscurity.

Wineguy,

Being relatively new to this board I didn't know who you were or how you were tied to the program. Why in the hell would you post something like this when you have an athlete in the program? Regardless of what you think you should keep your opinions to yourself until your kid has moved on. Have some respect for your son.

Brock Jensen threw a pick six and then fumbled the ball at the beginning of the New Hampshire game. They are going national championship.

This thread is pathetic. Every player made a few mistakes this game. However, the quarterback just happens to always be in the spotlight. Blackfalkin and Wineguy need to get their perspectives straight :stupid:

What. A. Douche.

Your posts have always made you look like a complete asshat but you've outdone yourself with this one.

By the way, Cory dropped a wide open pass on 3rd down saturday. That kind of receiver play will never take us to a championship! (See how ridiculous that sounds?)

I can't wait for Texas to secede again...

Wineguy and BF-you don't know what you're talking about. VA is a great athlete, great competitor and great QB. If you can't see that you're misguided in a big way  . The last play of the first half is an example of him being a playmaker. Let r' rip mentality that won us 12 games. Great competitors want the ball. Jordan didn't hit every winning shot but he's the guy who had the ball because it gave them the best chance to win. We had the ball in the right hands. He's human and missed on the last play but were you watching the rest of the game  ? You saw his mistake but you didn't see the missed blocks where he had to run and make big plays. Did you see players run the wrong route (who knows if they did). Did you notice botched coverage's (if they happened)? You just remember two plays in the entire game but forget about all the good. He's the guy and rightfully so. I guess quarterbacks notoriously get all the credit (not necessarily deserved) and all the blame (deserving or not) but to say he's not a guy who can lead us to a national championship is absolutely stupid (and I mean that in the most insulting way possible). Go root for Towson's backup QB because he's obviously the type of guy you're looking for.

Let's also remember how Taiwan Jones played at running back in 2009. Many mistakes, and often backtracking to avoid hits. The next year, he was drafted to the NFL.

HE'S A FLIPPING SOPHOMORE!!!!!

As a freshman, he shared time with Padron and got us to the Semifinals. As a sophomore, he finished as the second best offensive player in the country and took us to the semi's...again. Next year, as mentioned before, we'll likely be the favorites to win it all. Rather than pound one of the best players to ever come through this program because of two damn plays, how about we talk about the D that continues to hinder us from getting back to Frisco... :ohno: :ohno:

Adams has saved our asses more times than not this season and this attempt to discredit him is shameful. Every player makes some mistakes it's just that the QB's are more evident than any other position so those are the ones that get pointed out. Yes, he missed on a couple throws he usually makes in his sleep but Vernon Adams doesn't play defense and didn't give up a game winning drive with everything on the line. This is a team loss, stop trying to make it into something it isn't.

Agreed, this whole thread is a damn joke. Laughable, really, if I weren't still so pissed off about losing that game the way we did.
