vs. Cal Poly

I thought it was a great complete game as well. I hope this is indicative to how we are going to play the rest of the way because that means a deep playoff run.

My only concern was penalties, we still have too many coming from the offensive line.

Thought our O-Line had an outstanding day. Adams may have been able to stay in the pocket more if he had to but with his running ability no need to. Blocking across the board was really nice to see as was our defensive effort.

Agreed but we also had 4 holdings and a couple of false starts. We can't afford those type of mistakes in the playoffs.

A few holdings calls, yeah. But has anyone noticed the amount of procedure calls this season? I don't get it, seems like we have a ton every game.

I also thought the line has been doing a nice job, especially in this game. I think the biggest contributer to this is that it's been the same guys playing together all year. So awesome to see. Losing Post after this season will hurt some but we will be deep there for a while. Having a RS Freshman starting at LT that'll most likely be a 4 year starter is pretty awesome, plus the kids that are RSing this season have some SIZE! Griffin is like 335!

I wasn't that concerned about our flags. You're going to have to expect that you are on the wrong end of penalties each game. Also, the refs last game were real quick to call holding on plays which could really just be considered our O-line trucking the defense ;)

I thought the refs could have called procedureon Cal Poly darn near every play. They always seemed to have some kind of motion happening slightly before the snap of the ball. It was just so close, it would have been hard to pinpoint.

Congrats on the win. EWU is all I thought they were and more. I really think you have a team that can make a deep run this year. I will be pulling for you if you are not playing Cal Poly.

I had a great time on my trip. It was great meeting kalm, Screaming_Eagle174 and Grizalltheway. I was there in 2004 and the difference in game day atmosphere between then and now are huge. I was impressed with the red turf and new video board and the tailgating was great. Best of luck the rest of the season. Go Mustangs, Go Eagles!!!

Glad you had a great time, and it was great meeting you as well, John! I'm definitely a big CP fan from here on out... take care of NAU for us. ISU should be a nice little tune up... you might get 1000 yards rushing in that game... they're already averaging 300+.

Is Minnerly expected to be back anytime soon?

Rumor has it Jeff might have come back too soon - but is reportedly flying around and having a great week - albeit with the 2's this week in preparation for Wagner. Not sure why he doesn't return to his starting spot like Johnson, Edwards et al, but hopefully he'll get to finish off his senior season with some playing time in the weeks to come. He's certainly earned it.
