What I like to call our friendly rivalry as their fans have always been kind and we have a common enemy in those pesky Montana schools.

Weber State Message Board: http://www.bigskyfans.com/wildcats/

Gotta give Weber State some serious props on how they played BC on the road. There was some heavy emotion involved for BC but Weber hung in there. This will be a big test to see how we measure up against one of the top teams in the Big Sky.

i would say we have a great chance at a victory if Lee Barbarasz is still playing. Hopefully his ankle isn't too bad. We need that guy on the o-line.

I think UNC has a really good shot at beating Weber this year, we've played them really close the past few years and now I think we have all the things in place to steal a victory. Even better, the game is on TV, no crummy B2 shite.

Boy am I looking forward to this game, first home game of the year for my Cats, against our new rival the Bears, a night game with fireworks I think, get to show off our new black uniforms. Hope to see alot of you guys here on Saturday, it was really cool when you guys brought that bus full of students to the b-ball game.

We played a pretty good game vs BC, offensively we moved the ball very well except in the rushing department but its hard to move kids twice your size. You guys man-handled ASC, and it seemed like you guys looked like your O was in pretty good flow throughout the game.

This is a big game for both teams, especially to see how good both our teams are going to be this year.

GO WILDCATS

Saturday’s game is designated as “MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT” at Stewart Stadium. ... There will be a ‘Fly By” by jet fighters from near by Hill Air Force Base. ... There will be post-game fireworks as well.

COACH RON McBRIDE QUOTES

ON NORTHERN COLORADO: “They are always well coached and they have really been hard for us to match up and play against the last couple of years. I like their running backs, they both have great speed and acceleration down field. Defensively they don’t do anything fancy, they just line up and come after you.”

It's not quit a rival yet. We have to beat them a few times in order for that to happen. Hopefully that happens on Saturday night.

Can't wait for Saturday. The weather should be perfect for football and I'm hoping for a good crowd (Utah and BYU games will be over by kickoff). Northern Colorado has always played Weber tough and I'm expecting the same this year. Go Cats!

you can count me in to be there saturday with bells on! and unc blue and gold colors too!! this will be a big test for us bears. we did'nt show too much on 'o' last week, which i expected. but, i also did'nt think think orms was all that impressive either. yes, he did what he had to do, yes, he held onto the ball pretty well. but, there was not alot of touch on those balls either... our running game may be our biggest asset right now, will see what more we have to offer.. will coach p have a short string on him? will he really put in lobato if he has to in a seriuos game situation? personally, i would like to see us try all these guys out somewhere along the way.

i think we can steal this game away if the deffense shows up, and i think they will. and if our punter shows up, wow! that is a huge weapon to have! cameron was great last week. all in all i'm pretty happy with the whole team. they seemed to be playing as a team up and down the field, everyone pumping up and helping out there fellow team mate, and thats just frickin' awesome. we never had any of that last year for sure.

my sole worry continues to be qb. orms just looks like he's 1 good hit from being done. maybe not, its just my view of what i saw from the stands, and. i'm surprised nobody else has mentioned it.

so, who else is going? hmmm...... i'll be easy to find, as i might be the lone load and proud bear fan in ogden saturday night flying unc colors. but thats ok with me. will i be able to get a beer in those stands? not!
i may have a few before i go inside tho!

go bears! fight on to victory. lets take these cats down saturday night!

I tend to agree with you on your Orms perspective, even though he looked a lot better than I thought he would. He has decent pocket presences, but at time looked uncertain on where to go with the ball. He definitely needs to work on his touch, he had a few too many over throws, and one pass knocked down. He does seem very durable, and I like is mobility, he had a few good scrambles. One thing I would've liked to have seen in the Adams State game was the use of the other QBs, like Baca and Deen. I think the QB job is Orms and it will probably stay that way unless he loses it.

You guys are sick. Orms is one of the strengths of the team. The guy makes his first start and scores virtually every time they had the ball. I guess 54 zip with no turnovers is not good enough.

Orms is awesome. Trust in the coaches guys. Peterson has been doing this a long time and he knows Orms at this moment gives us the best shot at winning.

not sick at all, and i've sick about this team before! just abit realistic my friend. its only game one and there's tons of room for improvement, thats all.
great quote from the stands on the 3 n out 1st drive, "oh, this is just like last year" punter pins them deep, we hold 'em, get the ball back, and score on one play..believe me, i loved it. its been along time in coming. i'm just looking ahead to what we will be facing, and how we react to it. we'll be fine, and, i'm not sick, lol

mrlippy,i dont think your sick, ithink you know zip about football!!!You probably loved wagner and his 3 wins in 3 years.

alright, goldenbear w/ a lil fire! i hope your female! wags had size, just no feet speed, callin' it as i saw it. and a crappy o.c. and line coach..........

d o at 185lbs, is just a lil too small for a full season, imo. i'll live with 6'0. add the bum knee, sore elbow ,etc. durability is what i'm saying. mentally he's the best we got for sure, right now. saturday will be a huge milestone for d o. big crowd, away from home and abit more pressure. believe me, i hope he can do it. i would love a w at weber st. i'm still skeptical of what the o.c./h.c will do if we get down or in trouble, thats all.....

the best thing going is that the boys are playin as men, and, as a team. on a different level all together. as a family....... and thats just priceless. they seem to all lean on eacthother as needed. that kind of stuff cannot be measured on a piece of paper anywhere. hopefully it shows up as w's in the win column.......
