Week 2: @ Weber State

Was Harris hurt on that last drive? If not, no excuse for having him on the bench.

He was outstanding today.

I have no clue why Robinson is starting. Harris carried this team and without him we would have lost by 3 TDs.

Yeh, I'm sick that we didn't win this game. It's like those "hail Mary" losses all over again. It was there for the taking. I hate it when we play not to lose rather than going for the win. The problem is we're too conservative. Take the shot for the win. If you make it your a hero, if you lose it, well you lost anyway in the end.
This Bear's team showed they have a lot of talented players both on offense and defense. Weber is not the better team.

I am not sure about that. On the night, we should have won but if we played Weber State 10 times, how many of those games would include a +6 turnover ratio in our favor? Weber State was not at their best and I imagine we were close to our best. Either way, I think our teams seem to match up well with each other which leads to some entertaining games. It's just a shame we suck at winning entertaining games.

You guys played a great game. I know you didn't hear but I would like to say sorry to your football team for some of the things that were said to them during the game. Good luck Bears the rest of the season.

I thought the offense looked good for the most part, there was some questionable play calling, but I think that's something that will get worked as the season progresses. Defense played so-so, they made some big stops. But I don't understand why they were playing off the receivers that much all the time. They gave em too much respect. They got sloppy with their tackling at times. Special teams need some work. I just hope this bad loss doesn't carry over to Idaho State.

That was hands down the ugliest thing I have ever seen. As a Weber fan I feel bad for winning that fumble fest. Weber didn't deserve that one. I feel for you Bear fans.

I love the platitues, save it, we've heard them all before a million times just take your charity win and enjoy it, we're the FCS bitch, we lay down and take it everytime. Until we get some leadership with some onions we'll always be losers.

I completely agree. Why does Deti have the DB's 7 yards off the receivers? Gawd special teams is horrible. Mason Fuckett shouldn't be allowed back on the bus. This is one of the most frustrating loses in the Downing era. This ranks right up there with the hail marry's. Shit. I'm still pissed. FFUUCCCKKKKK!!!!

I don't know, I think its hard to tell, because both teams played really sloppy at times. Weber might be the better team, but not by much. UNC had so many opportunities to cash in on and they didn't, but that's pretty much the story line for the UNC football program the last few years.

You know when announcers say that it sucks that one team has to lose a game. Well, it sucked that one team had to win this game. Weber played terrible, but UNC was unspeakably bad.

Sorry about the loss guys. Watched the whole 2nd half through the end of the game. You guys are definitely going to be in the Top 4 at the end of the season. Much improved.

The turning off the lights in overtime is a new one. I've seen some wild stuff in college football, but that was ridiculous. Keep your heads up! Lots of season left for the Bears to make their mark.

We won't be top 4, we've been losing like this for years this isn't anything new it's a culture of losing, we have a system in place that when it comes time to step up we fall flat this isn't an issolated instance this is a pattern that starts at the Hinrichs and Downing level, these two are a joke.

after going home from that game i have no clue what to think, i am dumbfounded.

it was embarrassing that the lights go out for 20 minutes in triple overtime. also it was a disrespect to unc that the students rushed the field after. the only defense to that is a bunch of students rush after every win to see the team ring the victory bell on the other side of the field but its not like what u saw for this game.

i hope both teams can have good seasons but i dont know what to think as a fan of either team after. we didn't deserve to win with 6 to's.

the good news though, UM lost a game for once and the box score was ugly.

wow, what a game, UNC is far better as a team than they have been since joining the SKy, dont be so hard on them, they played a hell of a game. You know, one play makes the game, Im glad it went Weber's way, Weber really has issues they need to work on.

Your team has alot of heart and talent, and I dont know about you guys, but this should be considered a rivalry, UNC ALWAYS gives Weber fits win or lose, that alone is worth rivalry status. keep your heads up, with a Montana loss at Cal Poly the Sky is open for the taking keep fighting

Go Cats and Go Bears :D

I know the Weber fans are trying to be classy and giving us praise, but UNC is not any better than the past four years. Good teams take advantage of opponents mistakes. We didn't do that.
