Read the game is on KJZZ TV--mixed feelings about that for home games--just allows the semi-fans to stay home rather than bother to go & pay for seats. ...

Agree, however, America First is paying for the tix of the fans likely to stay home in the first place and it's great weather (if you like clear, sunny, and mild) so I doubt it'll make much difference in this one. I personally believe 0-2, 4-22, and a well publicized anemic offense are the things that will keep fans away. It wouldn't surprise me to see 7K there instead of the 12K you'd hope for on a home opener Homecoming.

You are probably right around 7k this week, and if they lose it will drop to 4k for the next home game...

I am feeling like a major pick to the house tonight By Devonte our CB. This will be a close game so I am figuring Sac St will have to make a couple of big plays and will feel the pressure and Devonte picks it to the House and Wildcats win the game! Thank you Nebraska Cornhuskers for sending us Devonte!!!!

Go Wildcats!!!

Yes, Weber State Won!
Congrats to Coach Hill and the Team.
Thank you Sac State, your ugley!
Thank You Defense of WSU
Thank you QB of Sac State for sucking so bad!
Thank you WSU Offense on keeping down the turnovers, that's my positive one for the O
Thank you 36 our field goal kicker I never new you had it in you!
Thank you Devonte for being the Mr. Lockdown corner you are
Thank you Stanky the LB from Sac State, we will enjoy watching you on Sundays your are an Animal
Thank you for the Great Crowd at the game, nice to see the support

What a Time, what a Town, what a Team. Thank you WSU for one great night in Ogden!

On to Northen Colorado!!WSU still has a long ways to go to compete with the Eastern Washington and Montana States that are putting up 50 points a game, I can't imagine the Cats will be able to keep pace.

Got to give credit to Sankey. 27 tackles. Didn't think that was even possible.

That's one short of tying the conference record set last year by Chinedu Ahanonu (SUU vs NV)

That was a nice game. Still a few mistakes, but improvement over last year was evident. The D was very good and the offense was not as bad as everyone has been making it out to be. Maybe the cats can use this as a spring board to better things. We will see.

Personally, I think we have the wrong guy leading the offense. If he is our best QB, we are in trouble. I hope I'm eating crow on Monday and that Jadrian proves me wrong, but I am not happy with his comments in the Substandard Exaggerator. I feel, in that situation, you don't say anything. You talk about your team and move on. Be the bigger person and highlight what you are doing to improve your play and your teammates. Don't say everyone should be scared, as of right now, you haven't done anything to scare anyone. Focus on yourself and not make negative comments that makes your team, school, and self look like idiots.

The uniforms are fine. Anything is better than what the team has been wearing. I think it is all in the interest of changing perspective. If you want to improve confidence and play, change as much as you can that you have control over.

totally agree

but a win will keep him around another week (or 2 qyrs of next game) but seriously Sac State is THAT bad and actually played worse than they are.

35+ attempts and no TDS

we have a long season ahead…hopefully the coaches are quick to pull trigger on this house of cards.

yikes

am I missing something? Did not we just beat Sac State which put up something like what 47 points last week. I am not seeing the "hate" in this what I see as a great win.

Sac St lost 47-0 the previous week to Washington. Sac St is not a good football team. But still, good win for Weber.

I agree. Was over in the corner when they called that trick play for the TD. Really liked the call. I just don't like Jadrians cockiness. He score the TD then proceeded to do LeBrons celebration and pound his chest.
I get celebrating as everyone does, but my goodness. Then to witness him chewing out his receivers, I'm assuming for running the wrong routes, just isn't the trait of a leader.
Our D played great ( minus the long TD run) and Cam Livingston I'd the real deal.
Does anyone know why we didn't challenge that TD pass? Replay is now allowed in Big Sky play right?

Agreed, nice, exciting, and well executed play on the TD, but I really dislike players who display bad sportsmanship and cockiness. If he's a bad teammate, all the worse. The D did play well, I'd say minus the penalties-- (the long TD run) is going to happen sometimes. Cam put on a show, Johnson was "lock-down", and 32 (is it Harrison?) had a great night. I was wondering the same thing with the non-replay, it looked plenty close from my vantage point.

The unis actually look good, especially with field lighting. They looked different than the "preview" pic posted earlier. The offense was able to move the ball but was it just a poor team they were up against? The O-line was pushed around again. The OC/play calling was still frustrating but more effective, again, against a poor team? As was already mentioned, Jadrian has no touch on his throws and throws high a lot. He and his receivers have to get their timing down better too. Still, they were able to get points on the board.

Bottom line is they got the early W, much needed by players, coaches, and fans alike. An important key to their rebuilding and success is not being out of contention early on, each and every year. Another is putting a competent and exciting team on the field. It wasn't the most exciting game ever but the result was good and I wasn't looking forward to going home after half-time like so many times in the past 3 years.

Thanks for the correction. I was thinking about Eastern Oregon where Sac St. scored 41 and the write up lauded the QB. I still think we played great. A good team keeps improving so this is just the beginning.

Not a bad game for Weber! Got the win on Homecoming and most importantly, beat Jody Sears. As much as I like Jody...I didn't want to see his Hornets leave Ogden with a W over our Wildcats. That would have been demoralizing.

Jody has a young team and desperately needs a QB. I think his defense was stout and did a really good job of limiting the Cats. Granted, Weber did a great job of limiting their chances by putting themselves in long 3rd downs all night. I think Weber ran two passing plays on 1st down the entire game. Mostly, 1st down was a badly executed dive or trap play. Sacramento might be in for a long season. I think they will put up some points on Eastern next week, but can they put up enough to put a scare into the Eagles?

The game ball, in my opinion, goes to Josh Kealamakia (sp?). He was awesome on Saturday. He probably should have had 1 more field goal, but penalties and a terrible call on 4 and 1 took away that chance. I like Garret and am proud of his running, as a true freshman, on Saturday night (he ended up with 101 yards on 26 carries), but he misses the hole a lot. But still, he did a good job. Lastly, on defense Harrison and his three picks. What a game by the Sophomore.

Well...lets keep the ball rolling and get another W in Greeley.

48 Rush Attempts for 176 yards for a 3.7 aypc.
20 - 37 - 1 for 272 yards passing with 2 TDs.

To me, and yes, I will eat crow with regard to Jadrian, I think the offense is a bit anemic. Jadrian still has a long way to go. His passing is not something to be admired. However, he did get robbed of a TD. Denby was in. How was that not reviewed? I really want to see a replay of that one. Good finish by the Cats and quite the win.

I recorded the game on kjzz and watched that play, he did indeed unfortunately come down out of bounds

Gotta hand it to Garside on this one. He tried to build controversy off of the "Sears" being the former coach at Weber approach. He got a couple of players to bite, but overall I think Hill and especially Sears did a good job of minimizing the issue. I think we can mostly agree that Sears was put into an absolutely dreadful position that was going to be tough to climb out of. He acknowledges that and takes the high road with his comments. Granted, under the skin he is probably bugged by what occurred and felt he was given the short end of the stick. I'm sure he would love nothing more than to come into Stewart Stadium and beat the Cats. Anyway, gotta love the attempt.

Jadrian brought up the issue without me even asking about it. Of course, I had to follow up on it. I wouldn't say that I "built controversy", but I definitely found some and ran with it.

Anyway, Coach Hill told Tony Parks that Clark's attitude is "his biggest attribute and biggest detriment." Thought I'd share that with ya'll.
