Gotta hand it to Garside on this one. He tried to build controversy off of the "Sears" being the former coach at Weber approach. He got a couple of players to bite, but overall I think Hill and especially Sears did a good job of minimizing the issue. I think we can mostly agree that Sears was put into an absolutely dreadful position that was going to be tough to climb out of. He acknowledges that and takes the high road with his comments. Granted, under the skin he is probably bugged by what occurred and felt he was given the short end of the stick. I'm sure he would love nothing more than to come into Stewart Stadium and beat the Cats. Anyway, gotta love the attempt.

Jadrian brought up the issue without me even asking about it. Of course, I had to follow up on it. I wouldn't say that I "built controversy", but I definitely found some and ran with it.

Anyway, Coach Hill told Tony Parks that Clark's attitude is "his biggest attribute and biggest detriment." Thought I'd share that with ya'll.

Thanks for the clarification. I just didn't want Sac State to have anything that could give them any sort of extra motivation. As we saw on Saturday night, they would have needed a lot more motivation than a story about Jadrian not being the biggest fan of Jody Sears. No matter, the Cats got the win and now we are off to Greeley to take on the Bears. I don't see this as an automatic win. The Bears haven't been exactly good, but at their place anything could happen. Last year, Weber needed a miraculous play by Kehano to get the win.
