    With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Welcome Back Earnest!!!!!!!

Not a lot to tell about the team meeting today...

it lasted 1.5 hours;
Coach Collins introduced the rest of the newly announced coaching staff (see uncbears.com) ;
spent a fair amount of time on rules and expectations;
sounds like he's being well received by the team;
my kid seems to like him as well as the D.C. (kid is lobbying the both Collins & Shay for a DB position)

no word on recruiting; we'll know exactly where that stands in exactly 3 weeks :)

Is your son trying to walk-on? I think they players will like playing for Earnest. He demands the best from everyone. This program is going to get back on track.

1/2 scholarship, trying to get to full (As Dad, I'm hoping that works out soon- :D )

He's had time to talk to both Collins & Shay, and seems to like them both largely becuase he thinks he'll get the position switch he wants (which, based on his skills, would be a very good match)
Having listened to Collins at his introduction in December, I ___imagine___ that there might be a few unhappy players (loyal to the last staff...), but the majority must be pleased.
I'll talk to some other players over the next few weeks and see what they think.

Alcorn State must have serious problems because Earnest took a $45k pay cut to come here:

COLLINS CONTRACT: While the university is still ironing out all the details of the contract for Collins, his base salary will be $95,000, pending UNC Board of Trustees approval. The $95,000 was the same amount that former UNC head coach Scott Downing was making before he was fired.

I can't believe we couldn't come up with a little more money than that.

The key word there is "base salary", I assume there are some incentives in the contract that bump that $95K number up significantly.

Like, "Win more than 3 games". Perhaps the assistants got a bump too.

I sure hope so!

Patience is not a virtue for football fans. I want a winning season NOW! :D

I've been led to believe that the incentive package is considerably more attractive than what Downing had in his contract.
