• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

We're going to Kansas in '09

Bottom line regarding Waggener is that it's a private, personal matter and it's no bodys business. Especially not the news/sports media. I hope he's okay and we see him on the field on 9/6 at Purdue.

I don't think anyone's asking for all the detials or just any of the details but did they ever report in the tribune that he came back? That's the only thing I'd say is if they are reporting he left then at least follow up and report on his return if/when that happens.

If I undersrtand correctly it was noted on here he returned, never saw a mention of that in the paper though but I may have missed it.

Blofeld is right. It should have been reported that he was back.

While we're ranting...

I drove past Nottingham last night and noticed that the fall sports kick off BBQ was going on last night. I've been to it in the past and really enjoyed it. The only way I found out about it in the past was word of mouth and this year, I didn't see anything or hear anything so I assumed nothing was going on. How hard would it have been to put the event on the website? If the AD wants the community envolved, putting it out to the public should obviously be the first step.

I believe it was by invitation only. I could be wrong but that is the way it has been run in the past so that may explain why it was not advertised on the website.

well...what is this Bearfest that's going on tomorrow? Maybe I would like to go! Do I need an invite for that too???

The Fall Sports Kickoff was by invitation only.

Bearfest is a campus-run event and it's actually today (Friday, Aug. 22) from 4:30-6:30. There's information about it on the main UNC Web site.

The event tomorrow is called Fan Frolic and it starts at 3:30. It's definitely open to all, but it's another campus-run event that our student athletes are invited to. There will be different challenges (home-run derby - softball, baseball; throwing accuracy - football; etc.) that our student athletes and fans can take part in. It's definitely NOT an invitation-only event, so come on out. We don't have a whole lot of information on it, other than our players will be there.

There's also a Blue & Gold volleyball scrimmage tomorrow night and information for that can be found on uncbears.com shortly. It should be a lot of fun, and it's free to the public.
