Who will draft Cooper Kupp?

McShay's Tiered draft prospects.
Tier 6

These players are third-round prospects. They could develop into solid starters, but they either have limited upside or come with a higher element of risk than players worth drafting in the first two rounds.

2017: 47 players | 2016: 46 players

Taylor Moton, OT, Western Michigan (79)
Gerald Everett, TE, South Alabama (79)
DeMarcus Walker, DE, Florida State (79)
Teez Tabor, CB, Florida* (79)
Joshua Dobbs, QB, Tennessee (79)
Cooper Kupp, WR, Eastern Washington (79)

Completely forgot I even made a poll, but here are the results

Was reading this article, and thought I would share my frustration with this garbage journalism

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/2017-philadelphia-eagles-draft-prospects-154605983.html

Runs too upright through most of his routes and lacks the lateral quickness needed to create separation on many short routes. Played as a big slot man during his time in college but doesn’t possess the quickness many like to see in NFL slot men. Will likely struggle to create separation underneath depending on the route.

Builds up his speed over long distances and doesn’t eat into cushions that quickly. Has some question marks in his ability to be an outside receiver at the pro level. Can be excessive when making fakes and juke attempts. Will need to be more efficient in his route running.

:tothehand:

Just screams of a writer who looked only at the 40 time and made a generic statement. Cooper had the fifth highest 20 yard shuffle. This means that he is extremely quick. The thing he lacked in the 40 yard dash was top speed. He is the perfect fit for a slot receiver.

"Will need to be more efficient in his route running." That's funny right there...every single person (college/NFL coaches, players, reporters and fans), without exception, have said Kupp runs the best routes around. I've seen this Robert Molnar guy before...

Philly makes sense to me as well. No great receiver there at the moment.
Bingo! All the national media overlooks the FCS star players and Kupp has that IT FACTOR and SWAG and I think can back it up at the NFL level. Plus being he wears a AO1 Tshirt following the NODak kid Carson Wentz I think those 2 could really strike up a long term relationship of winning in Philly!

Quality Character = winner, success! Carson Wentz did well until his top linemen got busted for supplements, and his top RB fumbled 2 games away, and his receivers were the 2nd worst receiving corp in the NFL, all that considered and thrown into a surprise start 1st game as a Pro when he was 3rd on the starting list! Yeah baby, he is going to have a HELL of a Sophmore Season in the NFL. He will lead Eagles too the playoffs by wildcard, or maybe NFC east champs if they can take down Dallas this year!

Go Eagles (that's NFL Eagles) Be Herd,
BisBisonMan - looking forward to when we make that red field green Sept.9th!

Another interview with Kupp & Gabe Marks on 710 ESPN, this time on Brock & Salk:

While I don't know much of Marks' personality or intelligence, his interview is painful. Not sure why Salk likes him. I could hear, um, uh, his brain cells, um, uh, you know, overheating.

Two WRs already gone in the top 10 (Corey Davis - WMU, Mike Williams - Clemson)... hopefully bumps the run on WRs.

My thoughts as well. Looks like Coop is gonna go in the second!

Make that three... John Ross goes to the Bengals at #9. Hell, let's go late 1st for Kupp! :D

Looks like everyone else has come to the same conclusion as me. Receivers are flying off the shelf! Gotta be good for Coop!

Draft died for WR after those three. My guess for Kupp is somewhere between pick 70-80. If everything breaks in the right direction, maybe a chance at late round 2.

Anyone know if he had any private workouts for any team?

I know he worked out with Carson Wentz for sure. It was a sign that the Eagles were looking to get feedback from Wentz about their chemistry.

It's looking like you could be right. Was hoping he'd get taken in the second.
