Whiner State Whines

Sorry man, but Suck State has been the name used for you guys since as long as I can remember :( Haven't heard the "whiner state" one before. Just figured as a neutral party I should point that out.

Also ya shouldn't talk about whining after the incredible amount of whining your announcer did last year when you guys played Weber. Holy shit that was epic whining. He was crying about teams not even involved in the game! It was like he had a book on fine whine he was going through to make sure he didn't miss anything.

He should get together some day with UNC's announcer and see who can whine and cry the best. Tears would be gathered then measured at the end to determine the whiner...er...winner. :crybaby:

I think good ole Dutch is right up there with any mention of whining.....if it was up to him Weber would not commit a foul all year...BTW it's kinda funny that my post has been up there for 25 hrs and it takes a Montana fan to stand up against it.......AWFULLY QUIET WEBER......oh, that's right, they just lost to SUU

All this bantering with a Sac St fan reminds me of the quote "Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience." Yes Sac is having a pretty good year, so far, but let's see how things go on Saturday night. We might be having a down year but it's a long time until March.

Alright, I'll bite...but it's almost too easy. You are right about Dutch, but he is the color analyst. Who potamacgriz is referring to is your play by play guy. Potamacgriz is also right that he is right up there with the announcer from the other ugly redheaded step child institution in the conference, UNC. What is it about the sac st and UNC play by play guys? Is it that they both know that they have the misfortune of doing play by play at the dregs of the conference and the only way they will ever be pseudo-relavent is by making up non-existing contraversies?

Second, a sac st fan making fun of the Weber State basketball forum? That's like a Weber State fan making fun of the Montana football forum. Even with your big win over EWU, your forum is nearly dead.

Lastly, Weber is having a down year in basketball. It's true, and most even minded fans expected it. And in my mind, that's okay. I really enjoy watching this team and when all is said and done, this team will still be around .500. Maybe a little above, maybe a little below, but around .500....In our down year. All teams have them. Sac st is enjoying its best year ever as a D1 team. Good for your team. It only took 2 decades for sac st to have a winning team. But in 3-5yrs we Weber fans have a pretty good idea where our team will be, fighting for a conference championship and an NCAA birth like nearly every year. Where will sac st be? Oh, that's right, fighting for last place in the conference and wishing that the Big West would invite them to their conference. I'll wish for that last part also. It will really help the conference RPI If sac state goes to the Big West.

Says Mr. 230 in the RPI.....BTW "Second, a sac st fan making of the Weber State basketball forum?" Please translate
I too am waiting for Saturday night and hoping for the best.

Correction made.

Yep, it's our worse year in quite some time. It's your best year ever. You ask us to be honest, now time for you to be honest. Do you really think that sac st will be able to keep this up after this year? After you lose your very talented back court? I don't think you would be on this board as much as you are if you did. You know this is your one chance to poke the bear before things go back to normal.

Enjoy this season because you and I both know the success won't last.

Really? Been a while since Sac's sniffed success? 25 hours? Maybe a few of us have better things to do on a holiday weekend than post infantile comments on an opponents board. As has been mentioned already, Dutch is a color guy, not play-by-play. To my knowledge, Dutch hasn't been suspended for being a complete conspiracy theorist wanker, either. Is Dutch even doing the color commentary anymore anyway? I haven't noticed him on the air the last few times I've had the radio on.

As far as drudging up the purple Koolaid references, let it go. Some of us got got a little excited about a few things we misread-- so what, that's what fans do. The reality of it is, Weber is probably where they should have been expected to be after the proven talent lost the last few years. The "real" season is young and they aren't out of any possibilities at this point. .500 after 4 of 6 on the road; there's still plenty of room for optimism. Sac 5-1 after 4 of 6 at home. Congrats, that's a great start with a quality win vs EWU.

Actually, if memory serves, weren't you whining about an unfair schedule, altitude, and etc.? Well, I wouldn't get too cocky with a number of high altitude, roadies coming your way. In fact, Sac ends the season with 5 of 7 on the road. A lot can still happen, and probably will. I'm looking forward to Saturday! Weber's playing .500 ball, has nothing lose (since they should at least get the split this week,) and Sac has to face altitude, Weber (at the DEC,) and everyone/everything else according to your play-by-play guy. Good luck with Sac vs the World.

Ok one at a time....I don't recall ever making fun of the forum, only some of the more outrageous posts made on the forum, in fact I've posted before about how your forum is the most active and that is why I follow it....Yes it is our best year ever and I do realize we will lose the best back court in the league after this year but our cupboard will not be bare after this year...we will have Demps, Stuteville, Hornsby as returning starters as well as Barlett (6th man) and two returning freshman guards and two freshman forwards plus a very good incoming guard who may be the most talented player we've ever landed.....I don't expect the next year to be as good as this one though....I've been posting here since last summer and have tried to be honest with you about your loss of talent from last year to only be ridiculed to no end so when my prognostications, so far, have proved closer to true than your boards, I have to gloat a bit....I do think Coach Katz has laid the foundation for a program that will be much stronger than in the past...Our play by play guy is also the color guy because he works solo...he was not suspended but sat out one game to appease the powers before any official action was taken (sort of a suspension I guess)...If WeberSki can only think deep enough to post "Suck State Sucks" I guess I can dive in the dumpster with him....If you didn't notice I have only resorted to childish remarks when provoked...I have overwhelmingly posted based on facts or at least reasonable assumptions....you should be better next year if you find someone to run the point, if not you may still have some problems....and finally (though I haven't said anything about this previously) if Rahe is offered twice the salary he will be gone quicker than you guys can ever imagine....I don"t care what any of you say, if you were offered double your salary you would be off to Logan in a heartbeat... besides, he's probably sick of being second guessed here anyway...after Saturday, if you guys win, I fully expect to be laughed at relentlessly but if you lose.........Oh I almost forgot,,,I was upset with the schedule because I wanted to play you guys TWICE....does that sound like whining??

Sac State, you've been fairly decent in your posts to date -- fairly. But you weren't provoked earlier in this thread and you still went to childish (which I think you do more often than you're willing to admit).

I get tired of your lectures on board behavior, and you're self-proclaimed superiority in how to act...we'll police ourselves thank you.

You're rationalizations about your intentions are increasingly pathetic and you've grown to be totally boring.

Go away....

No trolls. And you've turned into one with this thread...

Seriously, go away. You're calling all Weber fans out to respond to your ridiculous chest-pounding as a competitor. That's troll behavior! My next request will be for the administrators to ban you. I'm sure others will join me in that request. Go away on your own...no trolls!

Oh, come on, I don't know if we have to ban sac man. He brings a different flavor to the forum. Saturday night will validate a lot of these issues. A WSU win and things are back to normal, a loss, well come gloat, beating Weber doesn't come around too often for the hornets.

Ornery forum this week! Lost to SUU seems to have a lingering effect! Sac man is a welcomed addition and when we are drunk on purple drank he's a voice of reason!

It's ok to crow a little.,... But the season isn't over yet!

Having been in attendance at the SUU game, I would like to make some observations. First off, they have one of the nicer facilities in the BSC. There is absolutely no reason that the bottom dwellers, facility wise, in the BSC can not come up to that level. It only holds about 5,000, but it is nice and clean, and built as a BB arena. Their student section was small but involved. Much like ours. It was a good atmosphere for D1 BBall. Their team played well and ours did not. It really is as simple as that. We were not playing good interior D, or D in general, we got taken out of our O by their D, we were not hitting our shots, and we were horrible from the FT line. Our guys looked like they didn't want to be there, and SUU treated it like a rivalry game. I listened to their radio broadcast on the way home. You would think that they had just won the national championship. We sure made their day. Gittens and Hill played well for most of the game. That about sums it up. :coffee:

That's all on Rahe then, right?

No. I would say it is on the team as a whole, and not on any one individual. We are not used to it, but it happens. :yikes:
