'08-'09 RECRUITING CLASS

The kid from Oakland is averaging just under 30 pts. a game, and the Dent kid was in town this weekend to watch the games. WSU is after 2 JC's 1 from SLCC and 1 from College of Southern Idaho

Are they post players... I was reading about a kid from back east who is averaging 12 rebounds a game who is interested in Weber. Next season Weber will need a good rebounder.

we should be okay if we don't get a big rebounder. I mean, heck, we have mccoy, don't we? Last i heard he was one of the leading rebounders on the team. now after he leaves, I hope we get somebody to fill his shoes.
;D

I have talked to some of Nick Thompson's old football coaches, and they are worried about him in college. The wrap on him is that he does not like to give every thing that he has in practice. His stats have been all over the place this year in High School, which makes me think that this may carry over to basketball. I like Nick, and think that he still will be a solid player for the Cats, but it is something to look for.

he will quickly change or be gone if this is true. rahe will crack the whip on day one!

Nick doesn't have a lot of talent around him, he doesn't have a quality guard who can consistently and accurately get him the ball. It would be great if he were a britton johnson type that did everything. Freak he was tough to play against!! However, once Rahe gets a hold of Nick, he will work hard or not play. Also, maybe he really didn't like football, so his heart wasn't completely in it.

NO MATTER... The Cats need a post player next season who can score in the paint, play defense, and rebound. End of Story. Morris will be good next year, but I still don't see Panos grabbing more than 4 or 5 rebounds a game.

I checked out the CSI and SLCC rosters trying to figure out who Weber is after. I'm hoping that we are after the 6-11 guy from CSI. He looks like he'd be great for the cats. I still think we need a power forward. I couldn't figure out who the Cats were going for on the SLCC team, maybe one of their guards.

Brian Green I can understand, but Nick Hansen. I'm not convinced. Oh well Rahe knows better than me. Anyway, I still really think we need a big man. Oh well. Is Brumfield really gone? Is there anyone else on the radar?

Brumfield reall is gone. I am not sure he made it through fall semester. He would not go to class, do homework, or anything else that was asked of him. According to coaches, he is a really nice kid, but the laziest thing in the world. After seeing his lack of effort to attend class, on his own dime I might add, Coach Rahe told him that it would be best if he went home.

Thats really sad, actually kinda pathetic. He'll look back, sometime in his life, and realize what he missed out on. Oh well, hope he figures it out eventually.

Is he leaving SUU?

I checked out Jared Quayles' stats. Of course we have no idea what type of competition he has played against, but he is their best player by far. He is the team leader in rebounds, points, threes made and percentage, as well as FGM and Percentage. He'd be good. Is Marcus Carson anywhere right now playing?? Coach Evans said that he was just going to get better every year. He averaged 4.7 points a game as a Freshmen and has DI experience. He'd be a good addition. How many spots does Weber have open for next season? We have five red-shirts this year. Granted Two of them are Walk-ons who most likely will never see anything but the Scout team.

So we know that Nate Brumfield is gone, and Andy Jensen Jr isn't coming to WSU, does anyone know who Mitch Simmons is? A current WSU student how claims to be on our team. Prop 48 maybe?

Word has it that Nick Thompson is not on Clearfields bball team. Does anyone know why and so is he not coming to WSU as one would assume?
