#2 EWU at #14 MSU Game Thread

that wasn't what one would call a "convincing" win, but hot damn!!

I will be moving MSU up on my AGS poll this week, they looked good.

Thank you VA, thank you Forte, thank you offense. Definitely not the recipe for winning a game, but will take this one. Defense must get better. It all starts with tackling.

Interestingly, MSU's defense has given up 44 points, and nobody is on here talking about how bad they are. Thoughts?

EWU has put up 40+ points on offense against everyone this year, 50+ on everyone in division 1. You can't judge a defense by how they play against Eastern. That's not fair. There's not many offenses in the country that are better at any level.

The criticism of the defense isn't coming from just one game, or even just this season (although that is a very large part of it) but from the underwhelming performance of the defense the last few seasons, which frankly shouldn't be the case with all the talent they have had and have now.

Most nerve-racking game I've watched in a long time. JFC. Vernon finally gets his sh*t together at the last possible second and earns the game winning drive.

As others have sentimented, I've about lost my patience with Graham as DC. Granted we're thin on the DL, but our D has consistently way under-performed. Baldwin is too nice a dude to let his friend walk.

Great win for EWU. What a game. I didn't think it would come down to one point. You guys have one hell of an offense.

Thanks Bobs. Good luck to your team the rest of the way.

Who said we'd roll MSU? I knew they would be good. They were dang good.

EWU is facing some injuries on defense that make things even more challenging. But dang, some of those drives that they couldn't stop were just angering!

Prukop is the real deal. MSU is going to a very tough team for years to come.

EWU played what I would call a less than precise game on offense, with additional dropped passes that should've been caught, off throws by VA, and the FREAKING turnovers!!! Yet, with all of that, the team made the plays to win, and some of those were just CLUTCH! If this offense plays a bit more mistake free, they will be unstoppable.

Oh yeah, FORTE!!! What a STUD! I hope he's OK, and recovers quickly from his injury.

I turned the post game show on kind of late. Does anyone know ifthey mentioned the injuries to Forte and our kicker?

I thought Miller did a heck of a job kicking...even better then Alcobendas. That's just one game, and some of those last XP's were getting a little ugly, but I thought his Kickoffs were solid. Not that I wish injury on Alcobendas, just glad we seem to have a very capable stop gap.
