I don't know the situation, but I don't know why he wouldn't be able to compete. We are not deep in the secondary, we have one starting CB graduating (Gibbs), and Pinson is only a RS Freshman for cryin' out loud. To be honest, I imagine sime if the frustrations with players are in large part due to the fact that we were down two coaches this season. Coach Hunter recruited Trenton, and now he might feel a little forgotten about. Just pure speculation on my part, but if I am the new secondary coach I am trying to retain this kid because he's very athletic and could contribute in a numbers of ways. Unfortunately, it seems younger players get discouraged easily when they feel they should be starting. Not saying this is the case here, but it happens every year. No reason this kid couldn't have a shot at starting next year if he wanted to stick around and put the work in. Just my opininion.
On another, I heard a rumor that Brown could be looking to transfer. Like I said, just a rumor but I know he had a tough season this year struggling early on and then having Talley and Forte getting a lot of the reps. There was also the suspension, and I understand maybe kids kinda fall out of favor or whatever, but again, another kid who has a shot to start again next season. As we saw this season, depth is critical and you're only one play away from being the starter.
Really hope both of these guys stick around next year.

All i would say is dont be quick to believe and be even more weary of stuff on the internet. Every class suffers attrition and this year will be no different but i would be a little surprised to see brown go he has good work effort and is a good kid who probably just got a little frustrated but unless a coach tells you that you arent going to play doesnt every kid have a chance to start? These are young kids just gotta put the work in.

Thanks for the video of Watson SE. I'd love to see a QB like this take advantage of the WRs we'll have back next year. I especially like the way Watson picked up the blitz. Send Edwards, Herd, or Kaufman on a deep post or out route and let the QB take a couple steps back and gun it in the face of the oncoming blitz. QB will be key next season.

you can probably strike Dutton off of that list as I am am pretty sure that I read he is going to Denver on a LaCrosse scholarship. Also I think some of the names on the "interest" list have committed elsewhere as I recognise a couple that are ISU commits.

Also, I noticed EWU made an offer to San Clemente, CA LB Herbert Gamboa back on the 3rd of January. Unfortunately, he committed to Montana the next day. Looks like they were the first school to offer him. He did have an official visit lined up for EWU, however, so I am not sure if he tripped or how that went.

is it just me or does it seem that recruiting has gone poorly so far this year? Seems to me that last year at this time we had several more verbals. Are these just not being reported by the scouting agencies or do we not have many scholarships to give out this season which would explain why we have not had more verbals? doesn't seem too good when you go to scout or rivals and a school like Portland State has several verbals and we don't have any listed?
