If Lobato has a slow start like has the past two seasons, we are in big trouble. If he plays like he usually does towards the end of each season, we should be fine.

It'll help that he won't be adapting to a new offense. I think that was a big part of his problem the last two years.

That and he hasn't had a consistent running game to support the passing game. TD came in late and has performed great, but other than that it's been horrible. I also suspect Darius Graham will come in as a true freshman and will compete for a back-up spot.

I think Lobato will come out smoking. He has matured and is ready to have an all conference season ! Is that going out on a limb or what ?

SUU is on the board!! Howdy and I must say hats off to your forum, if you head over to our forum slim, slim pickings :ohno: I'm looking forward to us clashing with your team. Should be a good one! Our defense will be much improved we only lost a couple of integral players but we our returning a full secondary and the Lb core should be tuff we lose 2 starters on the dl one being a Nfl prospect. The running game will be more effect this season as well as we get the full compliment of Wr 's back so spring ball hurry up!!!,

Welcome. Building interest in athletics is a slow process for D2 and FCS schools in states that have much bigger programs and I think we are on the slower side as well. For the first time in a looooong time, I am looking foreword to the football season. Cautiously optimistic is probably the prevailing attitude.

Thanks Brian, forgive me for not spell checking :D so what are your views on your program this year so far ? Are you ready to discuss our impending game?

I feel we are finally on the upswing . We hit the bottom of the barrel 2 years ago and are climbing. We finished last year pretty strong and I think we will hit the ground running. Labato should have an all conference season! Looking forward to our first game with SUU !

We won our games without two all-americans (Bumpas and Chappel). We should be even better with them healthy. Also looking forward to seeing some of the redshirt freshmen who were part of Chip's first real recruiting class. The guys from Flint, Valor, etc.

I was going over your roster the CB's in particular they seem to be on the short side. It will be interesting to see how your secondary will match up against our receiving core but our running attack will be the strength of our offense this year, but the defense will be the strength of the team this season , our secondary is intact from Last year and the Lb core is virtually intact also . I don't believe either one of our teams are getting much respect in the conference, but I'm confident that the T -birds will do some major damage going into the season. Montana State will definitely be the team to beat, Montana will continue to struggle, Eastern Washington is definitely beatable and cal poly will be tough as well . Our 2 teams if they can be consistent will be busting some bubbles!!!

All I will say is we will be loaded with depth at just about every position. Our secondary got some help from FBS transfers this winter. We will have the best LB corps in the conference.

The only thing that concerns me is coaching (still).

Yeah our coaching staff is a bit of a enigma themselves!!! Although they do have some Nfl experience and our offensive coordinator did coach on the Utah ute staff that did beat Alabama in the Sugar bowl. They seemed to be a little inconsistent as well as the players. It's far to early to really talk about the impending game but I'm dying waiting on the season to start. Well I will catch up with yalll after the spring practice game and let you know what's up

Just an MSU fan dropping by to say I'm excited about your programs rise, your better performance is good for the whole conference! :thumb:
