Tre Neal http://www.eastoregonian.com/eo/local-sports/20151217/football-hermistons-neal-makes-second-all-state-roster" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This guy could be a great get...could help right away possibly.

QB Eric Barriere, from La Habra, CA was on his official visit this past weekend. So we're recruiting at least 3 QB's that I am tracking.

Somewhat updated, will do some more research this weekend. I know we have several verbals at this point, I just don't know who exactly.

QB Eric Barriere 6' 185 La Habra, CA (:a Habra HS) UNC, others
QB Darius Vines 6'1 180 Ventura, CA (St. Bonaventure HS)
QB Hank Hughes 6'2 185 Richardson, TX (Pearce HS) NDSU, MSU, Liberty, Coastal Carolina
WR Jordan Happle 6'1 190 Portland, OR (Jesuit HS)
WR Kedrick Johnson 6'3 185 Prairie Brush, WA (Hockinson HS) PSU
DT Tre Neal 6'3 245 Hermiston, OR (Hermiston HS) EWU Verbal???

WR Parker Dumas 6'5 201 Snoqualmie, WA (Mount SI HS) committed to Wyoming
CB Dareon Nash 6' 175 Covina, CA (Charter Oak HS) committed to Montana
WR Xavier James 6'2 170 Buckeye, AZ (Verrado HS) Montana verbal. took official visit to EWU

Only one redshirt joining the mix at Dline this spring but he's a good one. Dylyn Ledbetter 6'4 250# out of Seattle. I expect him to be around 265# this spring. Good strength and e plosiveness.

5 redshirts will join the mix on the O-Line. Chris Schlicting 6'5 275#, Tristan Taylor 6'7 310#, Ben Puapuaga 6'4 310#, Will Gram 6'3 275# and Levi Long 6'7 280#.

Two or three of these redshirts might have to start so their development this spring will be somthing to watch.

I wouldn't be surpris D if we sign a couple DL as well as a couple OL too go with the good corp of young depth that we already have.

I saw those 4 Recruits last year, they all looked great when they worked out. They are all Big Young Men. Saw Tristen on Monday while on Campus, he said he is ready to go. Spoke to Schlicting (sp) last year after a scrimmage, he changed his mind about going to from Montana, he loves it here, same as Will Gram/Big Ben Puapuaga. Vic Wallace

I am fairly certain Tre Neal has given a verbal.

Yeah, there's several guys that I am pretty sure have given a verbal, but I try not to list them as a commit until I see it in media somewhere.

The Eagles have 17 srs on the squad this year. Anybody know how many scholarships or equivalents this class will free up.
Graduating are;
4 DB's
1 WR
1 RB
3 TE
7 OL
1 K

clawman,
Wish I could help you with that, I am glad I am not the one having to work with what little Scholarships we must split up. Haven't seen you at the games, know you have the Hotel Business to take care of. Hope to see you there today at 12:05 p.m. The team is really showing what they are capable of doing at home. We play "Northern Arizona" today. We moved from next to last place up to 5th place, few more victories for us and loss for the others, we can move up even more. Happy New Year, you and family. Vic Wallace

BTW the QB from Texas supposed to have had his visit yesterday. Stayed home yesterday, kind of tired.
Gas at the Cenex in Airway Heights is now $1.96 per gallon. It is next to Kentucky Chicken on the South side of highway going to Fairchild AFB.

Another scholarship ??.
To what extent does the athletic dept fund the available scholarships? ex. in Football we are allowed to offer 63 scholarships or FTE's but do we pay for 63? How does the level at which the athletic dept pays compare with others in our conference?, the other top programs ?
Vic;
Looks like rain all day today (no fishing) so I'll see you at the NAU game.

Hey Ranger, here is one from 247 Sports. Xavier James WR is a flip from Montana...

He's another one that fit in that category. Glad to see it's being reported. :thumb:

Looks like Montana wanted him on defense; would rather play WR at EWU.

It's hard to say how many exactly since some of the available scholarships will be partials. But, judging by the numbers you posted, I don't expect this to be a very big recruiting class. Which is probably also part of the reason we don't see a large number of verbals like we did at this time last year. The coaches are most likely being more selective with offers this year.
